Excerpt: Those whacky developers from Popcap have struck gold again with latest instalment from the Zuma saga, Zuma's Revenge that gives casual games and hardcore gamers, a whole new experience! That's right! It's Zuma's Revenge! It's bigger and better due to the exclamation mark!
Excerpt: I am a frog. I appear to be made of bronze. I am a bronze-age frog. I have an apparently irrational desire to frustrate the lives of Meso-American gods. I am filled with virtue. I am the center point of Popcap's new game, Zuma's Revenge. OK, so none of that's true. I'm a middle-aged father of two who loves playing Zuma's Revenge.
Excerpt: Even my grandmother plays Zuma , one of PopCap’s most successful titles (the game moved more than 17 million units globally). In Zuma , you control a frog, shooting balls of various colors from his mouth into an advancing chain of balls that weaves through the level. If you can match up 3 or more colored balls, they disappear from the map and points are scored.
Excerpt: A good game doesn't necessarily need a monster budget and a truckload of gameplay gimmicks in order to be a success; in fact, some of the best games are merely simple concepts that are executed well enough to achieve classic status. The puzzle genre in particular is one that, more often than not, utilises a simple formula that leaves the player hooked and unable to stop playing until the goal is achieved.
Excerpt: “ Zuma ? You have never heard of Zuma ?” “No, James I have not” “Well I got a copy of Zuma’s Revenge to Review and I’m off on holiday…bye!” So, yeah. That’s was my Tuesday night. So the back story I can glean from the game is that you’re a frog on a raft and are cast away and wash up on a Hawaii-like island inhabited with evil Tiki heads. They set devious traps to eat you and it’s your job to foil them.
