Xotic Review

25 May 2012
  • Excerpt: Xotic, the first-person shooter from indie developer WXP Games, is decidedly weird in every way, from its story and weapons to its surreal visuals. Sheer strangeness only gets you so far, though, as the odd elements of this $10 indie game come at the cost of approachability. Xotic's psychedelic aspects may lure you in but they can also push you away; the game's efforts to be unique often come at the cost of playability.
  • Pros: Unique visuals, story, and setting, Fast-flowing action in densely designed levels
  • Cons: Maps are so surreal that they can be bewildering, Overly busy backdrops cause problems with combat and exploration, Troublesome controls

Xotic Review | The Big Score

9 December 2013
  • Conclusion: The Short Version: Xotic is a risky and rewarding shooter that caters for a particularly competitive breed of gamer. If you're the kind of person who craves personal betterment - and will happily grind for high scores and prepare for eventual payoff with planning and exploration - this unassuming little gem might just be your passport to many hours of frantic, frustrating fun. Otherwise, be sure to sample the demo before shelling out for this divisive delight.
  • Pros: Rewarding, refreshing and ruthlessly addictive, Polished, solid, slick, Incredibly colourful and visceral
  • Cons: Lacks immediacy, Might have worked better from an isometric perspective, Grind, you fools! Grind forever!

Xotic PC Review

31 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Xotic is a bizarre first-person shooter that instead of focusing on wars, military and multiplayer deathmatch, moves your attention to something that isn’t seen that much in the FPS market these days; an arcade-style score-based shooter that just loves to throw points at you. There is actually a story to this game, which is told by a robotic voice during the intro.

Expert Review

BigPond GameArena
29 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Xotic is great for those moments when you have time to spare and you can outdo your previous performance. For most it will be just that - a great game to play for a bit, but not particularly addictive. In some however, it will inspire marathon gaming sessions into the early hours of the morning, bettering your scores and those of others. Either way, Xotic is a one-of-a-kind and well worth consideration - especially for its price.

4 March 2013

Análisis de Xotic

Juegos db
30 March 2012
