X-Com Collectors Edition

The Wargamer
14 January 2000
  • Excerpt: Gaming has come a long way since X-Com: UFO Defense was introduced in 1994 but I have come across few games with so much lasting appeal, addictive properties and replay value. This game proved to be one of my favorite games back then, and when I was asked to do this review and started playing the game, I knew that I was hooked once again. This multi-pack contains X-COM: UFO Defense, X-COM: Terror from the Deep and X-COM: Apocalypse.

  • Excerpt: Referred to as “a huge, satisfying hit off the nostalgia bong,” by my eloquent pal Steve Tilley, X-COM Collector’s Edition is, indeed, a retro buff’s dream, a harkening back to the days (a mere half decade ago) when games were perhaps more graphically simplistic yet characteristically more deep, more absorbing and simply better – in this case at least.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - Review

GAME Group plc
12 August 2008
  • Excerpt: What do you get if you cross Mad Men with The X-Files? The answer probably looks a lot like The Bureau , a tactical shooter that takes the buttoned-down world of small town America in the early 1960s and drops a full-on alien invasion into the mix. As FBI agent Will Carter, inducted into the shadowy world of XCOM where government forces fight back against outer space threats, you'll be the one leading the charge in the battle for Earth's future. Keep Watching The Skies!
  • Pros: A true tactical shooter, Very nice visuals, Combat abilities are many and varied
  • Cons: Tough to start with, Friendly AI needs babysitting, The story goes off the rails

The Bureau: Xcom Declassified

gamereactor.pt

Poderes e armas interessantes. Morte permanente.
  • Cons: Animações presas. A história não surpreende. Carter é um protagonista pouco interessante.

The Bureau XCOM Declassified

ratgeberspiel.de
16 September 2013
  • Conclusion: Das Spiel bietet für ca. 35 Euro 10 bis 15 Stunden „Spielspaß“. Wer davon absehen kann, dass die Story bei weitem nicht an „Mass Effect“ heranreicht, bekommt ein solides Spiel. Die Fehler und Fehlerchen werden hoffentlich nach und nach mittels Patches ausgebügelt. Ich gebe dem Spiel 3 von 5 Würfeln.
