I enjoy this flight simulation for various reasons even with its many faults

Summary: I have x-plane 10 and use the 64-bit version. I also have x-plane 9 but don't like it much compared to version 10. To me the differences between 9 and 10 are quite noticeable. If you are interested in purchasing version 10 I would recommend keeping a few things in mind before you buy it. First, I think X-plane 10 has fantastic night lighting which was not present before x-plane 10. Version 10 uses a new system of lighting called dynamic lighting.
Summary: No fault with the vendor on this one. Product arrived on time and in good condition. The X-Plane itself is hard to use- very complicated. We thought that with so many DVD's it would have outstanding scenery but it is so bad that it completely distorts the flying experience, particularly with a small plane which you navigate using landmarks. Also button "F13" is supposed to start the shuttle engines.
Summary: Once you learn the fundamentals you will love it. It is not easy to learn. Want a NOT VERY SECRET way to learn it easily? YouTube.Com and search for both "X-Plane" and "XPLANE". Beware, I think some of the instructors are smart pre-teens. There are dozens of videos on step by step video instructions on how to quickly enjoy X-Plane. There are even videos on how to adjust to your flying hardware.
Summary: I bought the software to go along with my brand new computer and it dosn't work. The framerate is extremely slow and all the terrain is missing.I don't know why this is happening. it was so bad, I had to resell it on Amazon because it was just sitting on desktop and taking computer space.
Summary: After using Microsoft Flight Simulator since 1984. I've always stuck with Microsoft. I decided to try XPlane and was impressed with much of the ground and aircraft detail, however it lacks the real world detail such as nav aids and detailed section charts for any practical use as a pilot training simulator. Still fun to fly the many different aircraft and do some different things that couldn't be done in MSFS. I don't think it's worth the $70 I paid.
