Summary: This game is the most bizarre PC game I've ever played - although I'm not sure I've quite got to the point where I can actually play it in any meaningful sense. The gameplay is so unwieldy and clumsy it's laughable - and this is the "Gold" edition!
Summary: This is an excellent game for the serious (traditional board) wargamer who wants to re-enact WWI on a strategic level. The map and counters are pretty to look at and there is a real feel and colour for the period in the quirky gameplay, which is much more realistic than Hearts of Iron 3 manages for...
Summary: I'm not normally a lover of Grand Strat games and prefer either operational or even better tactical. However I'm obsessed with WW1. So I have to say the "Gold" version is a superb Grand Strat game. one of the few I enjoy playing, it's deep and complex and nails WW1 perfectly.
Conclusion: This game was launched with more bugs than an Indiana Jones movie and on release it was virtually unplayable. It's a shame because it's clear from the forums on the Ageod website that the game was rushed out to meet their distributor's deadlines and the company has taken a bashing as a result.
Conclusion: After years of waiting for a decent ww1 game what a disappointment. 9 Hours of play & not 1 battle,6 of those hours spent waiting on a1 to make its move, even the small scenarios your left waiting for the enemy to engage until your so fed up & frustrated you turn your pc off.
Conclusion: WWI published by AGEod is a terrible game. It was sold few months ago at alpha development level: bugged, unfinished, unstable, doc unsupported. In last weeks and then months, many patches followed: any new patch has been announced as the solution to game troubles.
Summary: A very involved game. Took too much effort to get into, very unrewarding interface. If you want a game that is pure strategy, ie not a "shoot 'em up" experience, then you may enjoy this. Too dull for me.
Summary: World War One (PC CD) Save your money and buy a 6 pack or something. Horrible graphics, a bit like playing an old Amiga game. Differcult to learn and a manual that reads like flatpack instructions translated directly from Japanese.
