It's always good to give the Caesar his due, and World of Warcraft takes the jackpot by far. A fine blend of existing MMORPG elements, Warcraft lineage, jaw dropping landscapes and innovative gameplay gives flavor to the already seasoned title. Blizzard plans on releasing The Burning Crusade, an expansion pack heralding The Burning Legion's return to the lands of Azeroth. Read more

    • frequent free content update, great PvP facilities, massive raid content, balanced classes, good storyline implementation, in game events, high replayability
    • occasional server/ lag issues, realm population imbalances, long battlegrounds waiting times

WoW focuses on nine fairly versatile character classes across the Alliance and Horde sides. There’s an archetype for any play-style. The Hunter can tame all sorts of beasts, then name, feed and train them. The Mage teleports, blasts offensive spells and helps to manage large crowds with his polymorph spell. Read more

There?s no doubt that any MMORPG is time consuming, they?re designed that way. Most of them involve lots of team work in order to gain experience, via solving quests or killing monsters. And usually, it?s the people who play endless hours a day who have the advantage. Read more

I just realized I have never officially reviewed or wrote anything about World of Warcraft. I was subscriber for 6 years stopping near the first year of the Cataclysm expansion. Even though with the subscription numbers dropping after Cataclysm and the release of other games in this genre of video gaming, WoW is my official definition of what a MMORPG truly is. You will need at least a dual core. With a geforce 8400/Radeon 3650 to play this game on low/mid graphics! Probably some good cooling too because your going to play this game to possibly 3:00 in the morning or more! Once you try to quit at first you feel bad for ditching your guildies! then you seem cool with it for a few months. Read more
