Fun but overpriced

Summary: The new expansion is fun...but not worth the money. Since I've already paid for it, I'll run my main up to 80, but unless Cat is something unbelievable...I doubt I bother. Not knocking the people who love it. Glad you have something you enjoy. This just seems like more of same...even after a 6 month break from it.
Summary: This review is for those who have played WoW, stopped for one reason or another and are considering coming back to the game. If you have not played the game before, I apologize as the following may not mean a lot to you. I've played since beta (October 2004), have 3 level 80 characters (covering tanking, healing and damage), and will be leaving the game until the next expansion (if not permanently). There are a lot of positives about this expansion at the beginning.
Summary: If you really want to continue playing WoW, this is a must have. Seeing as everyone else is level 80 doing the new content, being 70 is like being left behind. If you are looking at this expansion to introduce new things and another challenge, don't buy this. Didn't buy off newegg because I'm 5 minutes from a walmart but I did have to pay a bit more.
Pros: New Class. Level 80. New spells and abilities. New armor, new areas. New Battlegrounds. Easy mode WoW.
Cons: Everything is too easy. You absolutely have to be one of the FOTM classes to even succeed in battlegrounds. Leveling 1-80 is very long, death knights get it easy, starting at 55. Servers are usually full. Experience wait times to log in. Much more tanks who don't know what they're doing, and less healers. PvP is not even fun anymore.
Fun Expansion, bad bugs, even worse inbalance of class

Summary: Just my thoughts here but after Blizzard put out the new patch they seemed NOT to of nerf Death Knights which would have seemed to be an obvious nerf. My theory is that Blizz is not nerfing Death Knights because they want players to see how OP they have let the DKs become, thus encouraging players to get the expansion. Sadly for Blizzard it has turned a lot of players off, and ultimately I think it will hurt them as long time players are quitting.
Pros: I am not one big on the storyline in WoW but it was actually somewhat interesting. Fun lvl-ing to 80 and that's about it.
Cons: Blizzard completely nerfed the pvp battleground system that was in existance in Burning Crusade (second expansion). You can no longer get geared in Battlegrounds in order to continue on to heroic dungeons and later on raiding/arena. Now it just becomes a grind to get geared out of heroics. Endgame is boring to say the least. Bugs make game hard to play, often the latency will keep entire groups out of raiding. The imbalance of classes could be the most frustrating, as...
Summary: cont. Cons: Right before 3.0.8 released, I ran my 2 alts I'm leveling though starting instances in Northrend (UK and Nexus). My 1st being a 71 Mace Rogue with fully enchanted/gemed epic S1 PVP gear. Then I ran my 70 Ret paladin with mixed quest gear from (mostly)Northrend and Outlands. My Ret paladin in greens out dpsed my decked out rogue in epics by 200dps. Like I said before...."World of Platecraft".
Pros: New content, skills, achievement system, new battlegrounds(with siege weapons) and arenas, new Death Knight class and all of that. Strand of the Ancients is a pretty fun battleground and it seems like nobody goes to AV anymore due to that fact. Real easy to gear out a Plate class in PVE gear, that stuff drops all the time!
Cons: PVP is a joke right now. They are still trying to balance classes and fix bugs. With all the burst damage going around, all cloth wearing classes get torn though very fast. Warlocks are epic fail in pvp right now and Blizz has stated they plan to fix that, a patch or two from now (so 3.1 or 3.2). All Clothies should stick strictly to PVE for at least another patch or two unless you are a very jumpy mage. If you want to have a decent chance at pvp right now, play a Pal...
Summary: I loved pre-bc and BC raided all content up to sunwell. This expansion is fun for about 3 weeks if you're a hardcore player. All the raids can be pugged easily. Heroics are either extremely easy or extremely hard. Dalaran is disgustingly laggy. All of the new quest zones are a blast and will keep you busy for quite some time if you are a very casual player. Hardcore players should look for something else, like EQ2.
Pros: -Tons of new quests/achievements -Lots of new dungeons -Sold my account for $300 on CL after only playing WOTLK for a month
Cons: -Dungeons get old fast -Raid content is a joke -Everything is very easy and done quickly (ex: there is no need for cc at all anymore because all tanks can hold aggro while sleeping) -You'll spend most of your time standing around dalaran (which lags most PCs much much worse than a packed shatt ever did) -Damage to health ratio is completely unbalanced in PvP -New spell power stats means everyone rolls on the same piece of gear.
Summary: i sold my accounts, and so did my friends. very upsetting. i had 2 level 80's too.
Pros: new content.
Cons: i've played wow for years, wotlk made me quit the game entirely. if you pvp, the xpac will disappoint greatly. the game is ridiculously easy now, easier than ever, and it is even more unbalanced. blizzard seems to take little interest in balancing the game during wotlk so far.
Summary: I have played since release and I think a decent amount of people are starting to feel the same as me, we need a new game. Can't pay $15 a month to sit in a queue to log into a game and do the exact same things over and over again. I Think I'll try Lord of the Rings Online or Warhammer but I won't be going back to WoW unless they come out with something "new".
Pros: Fun game, overall easy to play without a steep learning curve. Solo , group, and raid friendly. Don't need a high end PC to play.
Cons: Repetitive, max your level and do the same stuff over and over again. This expansion does not change that. Graphically ugly, I defended WoW when it came out years ago but now it's just too outdated.
