The Best

Amazon
1 April 2002
  • Summary: This is the first, and so far the only game from this company I've ever played. Out of all my favorite games, this is my favorite. The graphics are fine, but I've seen better, but are not as bad as some of the reviews depict. The history in this game is perfect.

Being a general from horseback without the sweat or smell.

  • Summary: Good concept of the problems of command in the era. Limited instructions, to large bodies of troops; sometimes with limited intelligence. If your a student of the era you'll love it.

Amazon

  • Summary: Relive the glory days of the little corporal's era in this fun, exciting,& challenging game that recreates the complexities of Napoleonic era warfare in real-time format.Pay no heed to critics who dismiss this game for more simple & less cerebral teen follies;the game has been improved by subsequent...

Excellent game

10 March 2004
  • Summary: This game is now a few years old, but it is still excellent. The graphic interface may be slightly dated, but only slightly. The main advantage is that it is accurate. Troop movements, musketry and close order combat, formations, and so on are all historically true to life.

Pour la Gloire! Probably the best Napoleonic RTS!

Mr. G. D. Redshaw, Amazon
10 March 2004
  • Summary: Ok, so being the best Napoleonic era startegy can't be too hard...there aren't too many about! That said, the game is limited to just the one battle (the reason I gave it only 4/5 for overall playability)..

Many flaws, but still the best!

Joao Franco "Ferragus", Amazon
10 March 2004
  • Summary: Its just like that, it will problably get surpassed by "Histwar Les Grognards" comming out early 2008, but untill that, any one that likes Napoleonic warfare, can only find an historicaly accurate simulation in this game or in its sequel "Austerlitz Napoleon's greatest victory", any thing else...

Waterloo-Napoleons last battle-Strategyfirst

Amazon
10 March 2004
  • Summary: IF Your tired of the Simplistic aproach to wargaming & want somthing more realistic then this game is for you. The graphics are nothing speical. Its not Cossacks, or even age of empires. You don't need a super computer to run it. But the gameplay is accurate & addictive.

ONE OF THE BEST NAPOLEONIC GAMES PRIOR TO THE CLASSIC NAPOLEON: TOTAL WAR!

Napoleon, Amazon
10 March 2004
  • Summary: Years before the brilliant NAPOLEON TOTAL WAR was released, one of my favourite PC strategy games was WATERLOO - NAPOLEON'S LAST BATTLE. Based on the popular GETTYSBURG gaming engine by SID MEIER, this is a considerably expanded and updated version.
