This year sees the 75th birthday of DC Comics and in that time they have certainly helped to shape the comic book industry. Watchmen: The End is Nigh deserves to be called a great downloadable game. However, I can't give it that nod for one main reason: the price tag. Twenty bucks for a game that is no more than three hours long, with simplistic control schemes, and a less than meaningful story is not a smart choice. Watchmen, whilst being the most graphic game of the year so far, is also the most frustrating. Not in the sense of actually playing it, but in the sense that this could have been such a great game. Its lack of storyline, depth and structure really let the title down. The idea behind it is great, the combat system works, graphics are top of the range and it has a tasty licence that had the opportunity to be a real success. Read more
