Excerpt: ... so it is quite clear that the Alliance elves are far superior to the smelly Horde orcs. Anyhow moving onward to another colorful Elves vs Orcs game, EA Mythic has thrown its hat once more into the MMORPG ring with the release of Warhammer Online or WAR for short. If all you had to judge the game on was screenshots you would be lead to believe it is WoW with a higher polygon count.
Excerpt: As a game reviewer, I've played all of the major MMORPG releases over the past several years. I spent a lot of time with each of them and they all have their good and bad points. Some I've stuck with longer than others, but the only one I've played consistently long after writing its review is World of Warcraft. Conclusion: WAR may not be the most inspired game of its kind, but it's a sound offering with all the potential it needs take second place in North America and Europe. Mythic deserves credit for having an impressively complete set of features at launch, including a functional PvP system that grants both XP and item rewards, instead of leaving these things for future updates.

Excerpt: Ah, Warhammer Online. For untold time I looked forward to your release! (Actually, it was probably something like a year and a half.) Taking the best of several successful MMORPGs, and tossing in what seemed to be the greatest PVP set-up yet, was a match made in Heaven; especially when you combine that promising gameplay with the Warhammer world.
Excerpt: It really seems like someone out there has been paying attention to what the masses like about their MMO’s… with 1.5 million units shipped, Realm vs. Realm combat, player vs. player, instant action quests, tons of options and ways to customize your characters build. Warhammer Online is doing all the key things right, but let’s start at the beginning with character creation.
