DOW II

John G. Hebert, Amazon
30 December 2012
  • Summary: Not near as good as dow2, poor inerface, poor graphics and story line, not much fun at all, a dud.

Just okay. Not as great as previous version.

  • Summary: The choice of only one of the three command heads sucks & that is why I dont play that much or recommend my friends to buy it.

More Like Dawn of War 1.5

Joseph S. Finis Jr. "Firebird4Life", Amazon
20 September 2011
  • Summary: My title has nothing to do with the storyline, but it has everything to do with the gameplay. The original Dawn of War was a successful RTS series. They kept the same formula and added new armies, new units, and just enough subtle changes to not take away from the game.

Same ole, same ole, still with limited troop cap

AbominogRE, Amazon
28 March 2011
  • Summary: I was looking forward to this expansion just as I did with Dawn of War 2 before it came out, especially since Dawn of War 1 was so cool and so near to the table-top version. retribution isn't bad, you get another army in the expansion which is Imperial Guard. Graphics are good as usual.

I Wish Blizzard Made Every PC Game

Chris, Amazon
10 March 2011
  • Summary: I've only had this game for a couple of days and I'm already sick of it. The game play is pretty much the same as every other THQ RTS game. The game isn't really micro or macro intensive, it mostly just depends on the quality of your units and they're positioning.

Definitely not worth $30

  • Summary: I really looked forward to Retribution, I really did. I hoped that Relic would have taken the time to fix a lot of issues that were present in the previous two games. Unfortunately, they clearly didn't.

Oh how far we have fallen

J. Hotchkiss, Amazon
16 October 2011
  • Summary: My summary of Retribution: Stagnant, soulless & without merit. I'm not even sure it has any of the S in RTS left. Lets' recap. The original Dawn of War was straightforward old-school RTS.

Boring and unrewarding

Mr. J. Archer, Amazon
22 September 2011
  • Summary: What i loved the most about Dawn of War II and its expansion pack was the ability to watch your characters grow and develop as the campaign progressed. This was not repeated in Retribution.

Barely worthy of DLC, let alone a full game

SoS, Amazon
15 September 2011
  • Summary: I'm really glad I waited for this to come down in price and even then it wasn't really worth the outlay, I'd hate to have paid the full release price for it. This is barely worthy of a piece of DLC, let alone a full game release.
