Summary: warbirds is a great game i have had red Barron for over a year so i am trying dogfights i like the tons of missions you can fly. my only complaint is the updates air to far and wide i have to wait forever to get en update
Summary: Warbirds dogfights...both the ww11 and red baron simulators are excellent combat flight simulators...but you have to fly them,if you expect that its going to be a just jump in there and shoot them down sort of game you are in for dissapointment. It takes commitment and hours of combat practice to stand your ground in a fight and you have to use your head! Tactics, tactics,is what its all about..
Summary: Good combat fighter sim. Although not a popular as IL-2 which is the gold standard these days this was a welcome addition to my vast array of sims. It has it's quirks as they all do and it may not stand up to some others but it is enjoyable and it works with Win7x64 OS's
Summary: The training missions are fun but as I learned during my first takeoff, the aircraft pulls sharply to the left on the ground and holding down right rudder (D key) only takes you off the runway and inevitably make you crash. Configuring your joystick doesn't help nor does calibrating it over and over. The problem is in the program. Then when you take off and manage to get within range of your aerial target, if he gets behind you, you never find him.
Summary: As others have said, game is unplayable do to the controls. I have a Logitech Extreme 3D joystick and it works well with the original Warbirds and have set the controls for Warbirds Dogfights the same. ANY attempt to climb or turn results in a flat spin. Try to dogfight flying in a straight line only !!! WORTHLESS !!!!
