Summary: I'm unsure about this one. I liked the 1920s theme. Graphics were pretty good. Good amount of hidden objects scenes & inventory gameplay. Easy puzzles. I didn't like the development of the story. It started off with a 1920s sci-fi feel & morphed into kraken & a mysterious island with supernatural spirits. I don't think there were any valid voodoo relevance here. It got me confused & I felt there was lack of cohesiveness of plot & was rather messy.
Summary: This adventure HOG fluctuates wildly from really good to the total opposite. The completely bizarro plot didn't seem to know if it was a noir detective murder mystery or a sci-fi voodoo thriller. At one point it even takes a page from mythology and ends up having a kraken devouring the town. Story ends up being a hodgepodge of wildly disparate elements, none of which is followed through. So much for making sense.
