Summary: This game is not advertised as a "first person shooter" but it should be.You have to complete the game to open up all of the campaigns but once you do, click on Single Player and "Quick Fight". Now let me say you can forget about "quick fight" because you'll be playing this for a long time. The realism in this game is superior to anything I have ever found...anywhere. It's absolutely incredible. The enemy actually seeks you out and will not quit.
Don't believe the nay-sayers because this game is a blast

Summary: This is, hands down, the best Vietnam War game out there. I've had this game for several years and recently reinstalled it on my PC, and it's just as fun now as it was when I first played it. Your role is that of a Special Forces intelligence sergeant who's part of Team A-216 stationed in Vietnam's Central Highlands, astraddle to the Cambodian border.
Summary: viecong turned out to be one of the finest games i have played in a long time the only problems with the game that i do not like is the fact that after every mission when you go back to your camp u are confined to your bunker and the shooting range and cannot roam around the camp there are excellent missions on this game such as holding and taking hills from NVA and VC rescuing POWs and finding MIAs in fact the only mission i didnt like was the tunnel rat mission where...
Summary: I Tried this game about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. As far as improvements there have been several patches for it as of now (3/20/04). Yes, your AI can be stupid but apart from a few situations its all good because this game was written for YOU to do most of the work, not the AI.The Jungles r pretty realistic for computer generated foilage.Everything from stealth missions to tunnel clearing to ridiculous fire fights. The Multiplayer is SICK!
Summary: First off this game looked cool. I always wanted a Veitnam game. I've played the WWII games and got a little tiered of them. So I got this game. I haven't regrated it since. The grapics are great, the plot is great, everthing in this game is great. You get to ride and shoot in hughys, shoot those Communist a-holes, and even enjoy veiwing the vast countryside. You have mulitiplayer, training, 20 differnt levels, a wide veriaty of U.S.
Summary: Vietcong is a really fun and immersive game. I have to say I've never played a FPS that made me jump outta my seat as much as this game. I just finished it and I've played all the best, CoD, MoHAA, Ghost Recon, Raven Shield, SWAT3, etc...and I have to say VC is right up there with em. If ya wanna compare it to any other game, I would say its a blend of Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint, and Counterstrike. It really fun and addicting..
Summary: I rate this game as one of the best FPS games I have ever played neck-to-neck with Deus-Ex, System Shock 2 and Thief. Every action scene you have seen in the movies about Vietnam, you will experience here. The graphics and sounds are great, and the game's AI is one of the best yet. Enemies will continue relocating, they literally jump away from enemy fire and they will run away if the see a grenade thrown at them.
Summary: A must have for war game lovers, especially Vietnam. Vietcong takes you where no other war game has before. Featuring Vietnam-Era guns like the M-16, the AK-47, M-60, etc. If you are looking for a Vietnam game at an affordable price, then Vietcong is the answer.
