Summary: The game starts off using cartoonpics. A man wakes up in the middle of nowhere with amnesia. The only clue you get is two red marks on his neck. The point and click adventure HOG offers you a selection of playing it on 'Easy or Expert'. You can change your difficulty at any point in the game. One thumb up for that. The items on the object lists on HO scenes will turn colour as soon as you are close to it. It's not nescessary to use the Hint button at all.
Summary: Even though the graphics are great, this is a lame game. Lots of running around aimlessly. Silly games in between. No real story. The pace is slow. Where to expect the next HOG? Tell me... There is a hint system and it is not bad. But you need it, for sometimes there is no logic in what's happening next. The game itself is dark, like so many others. It lacks fun, humor and phantasy. This was an Alawar game. And I am a big fan of their games.
Summary: This game was good... all the way till the ending, which ruined it completely and thoroughly, hence the poor rating from me. When I played through the demo, the storyline already seemed a little sketchy - the way you are brought into the so-called plot is through a series of pictures, with no text or narration whatsoever to explain who you are, why you're here, etc. But still I decided to give it a try, being a fan of dark storylines, more mature themes and so on.
Summary: I usually like dark-and-eerie games, but I this one bored me practically to tears. I think it was because there wasn't much of a storyline at all for it. You woke up after an accident, found your way into a deserted, destroyed town and started searching around. And that was it - no explanations about what had happened to the town, why something was important and needed to be done, etc.
