Unreal tournament is AWESOME!

Justin White, Amazon
21 October 2012
  • Summary: Unreal Tournament is the best FPS game ever made. Its gameplay is extremely diverse and varied, the maps are awesome, and the multiplayer is top notch. Since it was released in 1999, it will run on any PC nowadays and will run on most made in the late 90s.

Unreal Fun!!!

Deron S., Newegg
21 January 2011
  • Summary: i play this game on an overclocked i5 760 (3.675) and the game is very smooth. i've also played on both an hd 4650 and a hd 6850 (great card btw) and had no issues there either. load times for game are great as well. unless you have a really old system, there should be no issues with game play.
  • Pros: i had been playing the f.e.a.r series before this game and it took me a second to get used to the style of game play, but once i did, i found i couldn't put the game down. wow, this game is lots of fun!! it's fast paced and the maps will definitely keep you engaged for hours. i loved the team pla...
  • Cons: none at all. the only real con is not having it in your game collection - lol. ok, maybe one con, be sure to download the necessary patches or else the game will freeze up on you from time to time; otherwise, i have no complaints. for the price, you really can't go wrong.

Best UT Game

William R., Newegg
5 January 2011
  • Pros: Takes the great controls, fast paced action and awesome weapons of the original and makes them better by adding sweet maps, vehicles, and customizable game modes. All original weapons and maps included from the first UT. Great Multiplayer. This game is better than UT 3.
  • Cons: Only con is the added content in the Editors Choice Edition. Some of the included Mods are garbage... Chaos UT feels less polished than the previous ChaosMod for the original...

No Linux Installer

Cynthia H., Newegg
11 August 2010
  • Summary: This game is great, I fell in love with the demo while I was waiting for this game to arrive in the mail. There are tons of characters, tons of game modes, and tons of servers. Not to mention the immense amount of mods available for this game.
  • Pros: Game comes in a nice case, is on a DVD, so no need to switch discs every five seconds while installing, run and looks great.
  • Cons: No Linux installer (Newegg should remove Linux from the operating system list), though you can install it on Linux using this guide: http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=558146 VOIP does not in work Linux for me, though some have gotten it working; I suspect PulseAudio is to blame. There ...

Missing Content

Anonymous, Newegg
9 August 2010
  • Summary: 2 stars for this particular bundle. The Game would get 4 or 5 stars, but this product version from NewEgg get's 2 as it's missing half of the advertised content, along with the original instruction manual.
  • Pros: The game is extremely fun and customizable. Works and looks great on modern 2010 systems even though it's 2004 edition. Includes fun bonus mods.
  • Cons: This is MISSING the 2nd DVD, which had the Maya training videos, 3d design files, extra content, and was a primary reason to own this version. Others have pointed it out, but New Egg is still advertising it as having the 2nd dvd. The DVD jewel case is twice the size of the older version, but NO L...

Still a work of greatness!

Anonymous, Newegg
16 July 2010
  • Summary: The master servers are getting to the point of dropping every other weekend so we've resorted to setting up lan at my house and letting everyone else join from their houses, but it seems to be a better connection!
  • Pros: I've had this game on 2 systems since it came out. My family and friends still play this every weekend for HOURS! We've added so many maps, skins, vehicles, and weapons that this game takes up almost 30gb of space! It's got such great game play we haven't moved to anything else, we've tried, but ...
  • Cons: Someone mentioned the dated graphics in their review and I just wanted to comment back that yes it seems a little dated, but if you have time to see that your not playing hard enough!! Move it up a level, try Skilled next time then keep moving up when you find yourself noticing the dated graphics...

Best Game on the PC

Ryan H., Newegg
25 December 2009
  • Summary: Very fun online multi-player, tons of custom maps and vehicles. It really says a lot when +5 years after the game has come out I am still playing it on a weekly basis and having a lot of fun.
  • Pros: I've been playing this game since 2004. Bought a second copy for my Girlfriend. I like this game better than Unreal Tournament 3 or any other games I have played on PC.
  • Cons: Unreal Tournament 3 couldn't live up to this one.
