Summary: I must admit to having a soft spot for Turok so with nothing better to do one evening I revisited this one - and then quickly discovered why I gave up on it. It is hard to believe that it was Twenty years ago that this wonderful gem made it off the pages of a 1950's comic book into the game world in what was one of the most original and promising franchises of the age.
Summary: My kids and I play this in network mode and LOVE being able to blast dinosaurs and sometimes each other. The downside is that every installation has been corrupted after a while when an update is applied. I've got a couple of disks and I've tried it from each one, but they always end up broken. I'd be willing to buy more copies even now, but knowing it's just going to crap out in a month takes all the fun out of it. No support on the website.
Summary: i orginally bought the game cause i thought it was dino hunting. well when i played i thought wowsers i was wrong. now the graphics in this game are the best of the best call of duty is no where near the graphics i bought this for ps3 and may buy it for pc. the acting is awsome the voices are my favorites, and the guns i wish had like m16 and modern guns but this is the future so i see. but the smg is my favorite looking i want one.
Summary: This game was pretty good overall, but disappointing in many ways. If you're looking for a cheap single-player FPS that lets you kill dinosaurs, then you'll probably like this game. Just don't have too high of expectations, and you won't be disappointed. A few points to consider: 1) The game is very linear: you don't really have a choice in how to respond to problems, nor can you make any choices which affect the story.
Summary: Turok is a first-person shooter set in the future and has no ties with previous games in the storyline. Released in 2008, Turok was the first game developed by the Canadian founded studio of Propaganda Games. In the game you play as Joseph Turok, a former member of a mercenary company called Wolf Pack. Turok, who is now a member of Whiskey Company is largely distrusted and despised by his new platoon-mates due to his previous involvement in Wolf Pack.
Summary: During installation (which used two discs) disc two would not finish reading one of the data.cab files. My drive would not read that portion of the disk. Since this disc was from the UK & Germany I figured it might have been a region error. I extracted the files on disc two using another disc drive and used a flash drive to carry what was on disc two back to my computer. I continued the installation and it worked fine.
