Summary: This is probably my favorite game, anybody who likes any sim games or role play would love this. There are many different scenerios to play and different choices to make while playing so no two times will be the same. I bought this game after playing the original tropico and it is a great improvement with only one thing missing, while it still has free play where you don't have goals, you cannot create your own island, you must choose from a list, other then that nothing...
Summary: I love the tropico franchise, and as such was thrilled to see a copy for sale substantially less than what it was available in stores. What I neglected to do was read the fine print of my auction. The game came in Russian! I was so confused! they weren't wIn retrospect, I suppose its only appropriate for the game. You can read reviews of Tropico 2 by googling it or checking Amazon.com's website.

Excerpt: "...style. Sound is used well in tropico not only do you have an informative but slightly repetative radio presenter talking in the background you also have a brilliant cuban style music track that you will not get sick of. The games controls are easy to learn and consist of basic point and click mentality, there are very few key board short cuts to learn. ==Editors and Multiplayer== Tropico has a map generator and editor which can be used to construct ...
Pros: Unusual gameplay, Nice political simulation, Good graphics .
Cons: A little easy, Some features are unbalanced .
Excerpt: "one of my friend recently brought this game for me.Impressed me much from the very first campaign. This game is basically starts with a palace, and few infrastructure and a president of the country, yeah that's me!! .I was given certain objectives to complete,by raising tourist attractions, high economy, trades, alliance with other countries, raising lifestyles of my country citizens.Every building are customizable, say we build a hotel, then we need to hire ...
Pros: highly customizable,being a president and running a state,elections,diplomatics
Cons: too many rebels and difficult to win a fight with them, bit tough to reach the goal
Conclusion: i have played the demo today and i must say, this game is pretty special. the demo only allows you to purchase a handful of buildings but it is highly addictive but also pretty difficult. the game is high on humour but is also pretty complex in regards to how you keep your people happy and juggle your economy (you even have your own private swiss bank account !!

Summary: I never played the original Tropico but remember reading accounts of the
game and thought what a great idea. The new Tropico is a humerous, challenging
and with enough variety for me to still play it months later. It perhaps could
come with a bit more historical context, but that is a small issue and more to
do with my taste for games. Overall, a fun and clever simulator.
"Good Simulation that could have been even better"

Summary: This is a remake, or rather update, of the orginal fun game of several years
ago. Not a lot has changed, but with better graphics and a more detailed zoom
feature it offers a very pretty simulation. Once you have played thru all the
scripted missions, it still has plenty of replayability as you can configure
your difficulty minutely with plenty of tweaks – creating as tough or as easy
a game as you please.
