Summary: Once installed, I just started playing the game with a mage character and his dog. And kept going, deeper and deeper into a starter dungeon (a beautiful mine shaft actually). I had to stop playing to go see if there were mods available, and there are. I've rarely had this PC game experience, of a game so lushly beautiful and easy to use that I felt I had mastered it before I even learned a single menu control. Everything about this game is slick and plays smoothly.
Summary: In retrospect, Torchlight was the tech demo for Torchlight II, and as such it's limited. If you have played T2, this game is probably not going to be all that interesting to you, as the mechanics are roughly the same, but you're limited to a single, vertical descent dungeon. That said, Torchlight on its own terms is a great game, and in many ways superior to Diablo 2, which was clearly the inspiration.
Summary: This is a clone knock off from the fate game series. Its fun and well done, Graphics work well, audio is good, support is there if you have a problem, It can be a bit laggy on even the best computers when crossing over in to a new territory. There are walkthroughs, cheats and tips available all over the internet. I liked it. Great game concepts. Good combat system. Item alterations and skills are well thought out. Its doesnt have alot of replayablity.
