Summary: I really like this game, it is way better than DIablo 3, for a bunch of reasons, Better characters, it is cheaper, has NO DRM/Battlenet issues- you do have to go to steam to authenticate and update but unlike the trouble plagued Battlenet, Steam seems to never have any issues, ( Hey Blizzard you Jerk-O's learn from your competition mostly good games but a terrible greedy incompetant company these days I hate Blizzard now) and can play single player offline and with LAN...
Summary: I received this game today. It was as described. The product code was included in the package, so no problems there. I've only played it about an hour but have had no problems with it. Great graphics and sound. The music was fine, but I don't like to listen to music when I'm playing games. I intend to turn it off. If you liked the first Torchlight, I think you'll really enjoy this one ... so many choices for character and pet.
Summary: Torchlight 2 (by Runic) delivers the Multiplayer LAN Co-op game that our gaming group wanted. We do not want Steam or any other 3rd party between us and our game, so this "BLACK" version is right. "BLACK" currently ships only from Germany, but don't be put off by the German language when you open it up - - just click on the "British Empire" flag and you will get perfect English where you need it. We play on a "hardwired LAN" and it works for us.
a game that does not employ you but only entertain.

Summary: I played the first torchlight and it was very simplistic but fun. This one is so much more but still a game that does not make you think over it when you need to get back to your life. Lots of adventure without the complicated "should I have done this may be in chapter 1 or 6 or 14? what do I do now that I don't have this skill or item?" The game compensates allways to give you what it takes to overcome the obstacles.
Summary: Easily the best ARPG since Diablo II. The gameplay is amazing, fluid, compelling, and most importantly interesting, the talent system is classic and proper no dumbing down, the game is DRM free like it should be, you can play single player offline, lan or online with your created characters unlike D3 which requires an internet connection just to play single player which is stupid and pointless.
Summary: Looks like, feels like, and plays just like Diablo! So, for all of you that didn't get enough of D1/2/3, Torchlight is for you! Tons of monsters and loot, with runes ("embers") to find, combine, and slot into your weapons or armor. A terrific game and deal for just $20 for all your Mac fanboys out there. Buy this game! Highly recommended. 5 stars plus!
Summary: For the price of admission, the game is definitely a 5 star product. It can get pretty repetitive unlike its competitors, but its competitors are at least 5 times the price. The cartoon-ish type graphics are great as it makes this a game for all gamers, young/old, experienced/casual, etc. Although it is very similar to other action RPGs, it has its own identity.
