Summary: Why i like the game: 1. the environments are pretty and some are interactive (levers, enemies jumping from ledges or crawling out of crevices, etc.) 2. the gameplay is simple and easy to pickup--especially if you've Diablo. 3. Some improvements in the genre such as the ability to share items across characters, mercenary can carry things and return to town to sell loot so you don't have to. What I don't like about the game: 1.
Summary: Good for me, is more user friendly than other games. Only negative which is more of an annoyance, is that the pet sometimes gets stuck on parts of the levels with tight turns. Great game for the price.
Summary: Looks like, feels like, and plays just like Diablo! So, for all of you that didn't get enough of D1/2/3, Torchlight is for you! Tons of monsters and loot, with runes ("embers") to find, combine, and slot into your weapons or armor. A terrific game and deal for just $20 for all your Mac fanboys out there. Buy this game! Highly recommended. 5 stars plus!
If you like Diablo 2, then you'll like this game...

Summary: It's a little TOO similar. While it's a fun game at first, it gets super repetitive - monsters all seem to act the same and the different levels all seem to blend together. It has the potential to be a lot better of a game - a lot of which they improved upon in Torchlight 2. - Online multiplayer would make this game a lot more fun - Spreading the gameplay across multiple acts and environments would make it more interesting.
Summary: For the price of admission, the game is definitely a 5 star product. It can get pretty repetitive unlike its competitors, but its competitors are at least 5 times the price. The cartoon-ish type graphics are great as it makes this a game for all gamers, young/old, experienced/casual, etc. Although it is very similar to other action RPGs, it has its own identity.
