Summary: This hasn't aged particularly well (mainly due to the clunky controls) but at the time I remember really being blown away by the graphics and extra guns on offer! The story kept you engaged throughout and the level design is up there with some of the best in Tomb Raider. One of the best Tomb raiders out there in my opinion.
Summary: As far as I’m concerned Tomb Raider 2 is timeless and truly brilliant… Many regard this as their favourite of the entire Tomb Raider franchise and it certainly is one of the best… Okay it’s an old game made of square and triangle blocks and the textures are questionable at best, but despite its age, it still makes an absolute brilliant play and provides countless hours of fun! As a whole Tomb Raider 2 is one of my all-time favourite video games.
Summary: This game to me is one of the best examples of a sequel taking a the original and making it far better. The story is better. The graphics are far better. The soundtrack is great. And the controls feels tighter and the games levels are well designed. The game like the original still has not aged well though.
Summary: Everything you love about TR1 is presented here. The puzzles, the traps, the whole concept is similar. Tomb Raider II focuses more on action than exploration, which could turn some players off. Thankfully, Lara is better prepared for combat and now wields a M16 and a grenade launcher. TR2 introduces vehicles for the first time with the speed boat sequences being the most memorable out of the entire series. Lara croft now has the ability to climb ladders and walls.
If you get it dirt cheap take a look - otherwise, don't bother.

Excerpt: Since her inital appearance in Tomb Raider 1, virtual adventuress Lara Croft has gained cult status amongst gamers, thanks to her gung-ho attitute, her athetic ability and er.. two features in particular. I am of course referring to her remarkable gravity defying silicon enhanced assets, which somehow don't hamper her acrobatic antics in the slightest. Perhaps they're filled with helium.
Excerpt: The Tomb Raider games can be played again and again. Known for their difficulty and puzzling gameplay they span an era of gaming. You star as Lara Croft. A lady with the money and the skills to explore the furthest reaches of the Earth looking for hidden treasures. You must make your way through the levels ranging from caves, jungles, underwater, venice and further afield. Each level is large with puzzles you must complete to continue further through each level.
Conclusion: Although the nasties in this game are more human than the first game, this is still a very, very good sequel. The graphics are slightly better than the first game and there's the usual training level at the start to help you get used to the one or two new moves Lara has. The training level also holds a little secret.
