Should Have Paid Me For This Crap!!

Don B., Amazon
29 November 2014
  • Summary: If you want to spend your time installing the game first, then patch after patch, after it fails when you try to play it, then this is the game for you. If you have a life, and want something better to do, then this might not be your thing!

Vincent Matthew Riddle, Amazon
28 October 2014
  • Summary: I downloaded the game and it does not work. My laptop has Direct X11 and the game is saying that I have Direct X9 and when I go to change it, it will automatically revert back to X9. The game needs X11 to run without lag and my laptop has that. This error has frustrated me and has made me extremely irate!

Sad follow-up to an increasingly declining series

Gorgack, Amazon
29 September 2014
  • Summary: Save your money. Once one of my favorite series of game, this is a sad departure from the glory days. This poorly-coded console port, made only worse by uplay (which is a terrible joke in and of itself), is riddled with inadequacies. First of all, the initial commands are a joke, so get ready to do some serious mapping before getting into the game.

Uplay is the worst ever

Greg T. Shumaker, Amazon
8 July 2014
  • Summary: This isnt about the game the game is great. It's about Ubisoft's Uplay. Uplay sucks. DRM is so dumb. I can't believe that I have to connect to freaking Uplay in order to play my game. Imagine that every time you went to read a book you had to call and check in with your 90 year old grandma who doesnt always hear the phone ringing...how have they not learned yet. Seriously, I just assumed this had been dealt with already or I would not likely have bought the game.

Wow... just... wow. Terrible execution, clunky, not at all intuitive

Circa_1986 "Circa_1986", Amazon
26 June 2014
  • Summary: I rarely write reviews, but this one had to be said. I heard a lot of good things about the game; the previews looked good, solid reviews, and it's a Tom Clancy game. What could go wrong? Graphics and map layout look pretty solid. That's about it. Story line might have been decent, if you could dredge through it. First off, I am not a big computer gamer, so that might be to my disadvantage. But come on, how many freaking keys do you REALLY need to use?

Insanely Bad

Bodford, Amazon
22 June 2014
  • Summary: This is one of the absolute worst games I've played in years. It is incredibly clunky, the movement is just down right terrible and non-intuitive. The aiming system is slow and incredibly inaccurate never mind all the forced co-op missions and broken U-play setup. There is a total lack of checkpoints in some missions so if you mess up at all plan on replaying the entire freaking mission to get back to where you were. Save your money and buy something, anything else.

Haven't actually played it

Aaron, Amazon
20 June 2014
  • Summary: Can't play it... yet. Pulled down the initial install. Then Ubisoft autopatch. Then Uplay autopatch. I am one-star 'ing this title due to the DRM involved. A product key is understandable... I wasn't really planning to play it online. Just looking for a 2014 story telling of the way Splinter Cell was meant to be. UBISOFT: I bought a license. Now you and your DRM can piss-off! Next stop, .EXE file with DRM removed. Then UPlay disappears.

Uplay destroys an otherwise great game.

Ithaqua, Amazon
13 June 2014
  • Summary: I bought this through steam. It crashes every 23 minutes. I'm sure it's the DRM. Ubisoft is aware of the problem and has done NOTHING to fix it. Don't support draconian DRM like Uplay. Buy another non Ubisoft game instead. Teach the idiot suits not to penalize the people who actually pay for their games. DRM does not stop piracy, it only makes paying costumers angry.

Don't waste your time. Uplay ruins another game.

Prockzed, Amazon
10 June 2014
  • Summary: Game does not work as advertised. Uplay 3rd party DRM prevents online capabilities from functioning reliably, and can outright stop connections between you and a friend entirely without any way to fix it. Stop buying Ubisoft's games that include this garbage and maybe they'll learn to stop forcing it on everyone. I returned this game to Amazon without a second thought after only a few hours, simply due to how infuriating this issue was.
