Uplay is the worst ever

Summary: This isnt about the game the game is great. It's about Ubisoft's Uplay. Uplay sucks. DRM is so dumb. I can't believe that I have to connect to freaking Uplay in order to play my game. Imagine that every time you went to read a book you had to call and check in with your 90 year old grandma who doesnt always hear the phone ringing...how have they not learned yet. Seriously, I just assumed this had been dealt with already or I would not likely have bought the game.
Wow... just... wow. Terrible execution, clunky, not at all intuitive

Summary: I rarely write reviews, but this one had to be said. I heard a lot of good things about the game; the previews looked good, solid reviews, and it's a Tom Clancy game. What could go wrong? Graphics and map layout look pretty solid. That's about it. Story line might have been decent, if you could dredge through it. First off, I am not a big computer gamer, so that might be to my disadvantage. But come on, how many freaking keys do you REALLY need to use?
Summary: This is one of the absolute worst games I've played in years. It is incredibly clunky, the movement is just down right terrible and non-intuitive. The aiming system is slow and incredibly inaccurate never mind all the forced co-op missions and broken U-play setup. There is a total lack of checkpoints in some missions so if you mess up at all plan on replaying the entire freaking mission to get back to where you were. Save your money and buy something, anything else.
Summary: Can't play it... yet. Pulled down the initial install. Then Ubisoft autopatch. Then Uplay autopatch. I am one-star 'ing this title due to the DRM involved. A product key is understandable... I wasn't really planning to play it online. Just looking for a 2014 story telling of the way Splinter Cell was meant to be. UBISOFT: I bought a license. Now you and your DRM can piss-off! Next stop, .EXE file with DRM removed. Then UPlay disappears.
Summary: Game does not work as advertised. Uplay 3rd party DRM prevents online capabilities from functioning reliably, and can outright stop connections between you and a friend entirely without any way to fix it. Stop buying Ubisoft's games that include this garbage and maybe they'll learn to stop forcing it on everyone. I returned this game to Amazon without a second thought after only a few hours, simply due to how infuriating this issue was.
Ubisoft needs take some tips from Valve's Steam or abandon uPlay.

Summary: Day 3. Still have not been able to play the game because it's still "updating". It's needed at least four separate updates, and has crashed my computer at least twice now. Edit 1: The game is completely unplayable. The game starts and crashes instantly. It says "Thank you for playing Splinter Cell Blacklist". This is pretty much a slap to the face. Do yourself a favor and pirate the game. You'll get a better experience.
Summary: I had no problems installing the game, and updating. For some reason the desktop shortcut never started the game, but I could only start it from the Uplay program. I don't know why but it was annoying. The gameplay was great. Aside from the terrible voice actor that replaced Sam Fisher's usual voice in all the other Splinter Cell games, the missions were tough, the multiplayer was fun, and the graphics were pretty good. It was challenging for sure.
One star may be unfair since I haven't been able to play the game.

Summary: I should have researched this game more for had I realized it was a Ubisoft product I would have passed. I can only hope that whatever genius there came up and/or promoted Uplay is now selling socks for Kohls. First I bought Far Cry 3 and it won't fully play from Uplay. That ticket is STILL open without resolution. Now I bought Splinter Cell Blacklist (silly me) and it won't even open (on line or off line).
Summary: It was rated for windows 7. I have windows 7, but this game will not work. It took an hour or more to load it. I am so disappointed in this splinter cell game. I don't understand how ubisoft could release a game that won't work on all window 7 computers.
Owned it for 3 months, still cannot play it due to technical glitches

Summary: I really want to play this game, but so far UBISOFT has not fixed the crashing problems. There are so many issues, too. Initially, I could not get the game to even get to title screen. Followed 'fix' and now game has to be booted in a window (stinks). Once the initial movie plays and I try to pause to make changes in options I get a either a crash then or a crash upon accepting changes to video options or sound.
