Good Stealth/Action Game.

  • Summary: You can play this game in your own way, you can choose to take the stealth approach or the aggressive approach, you will find yourself playing various missions/maps multiple of times because due to the variety of possible ways to finish it. And about the constant internet connection, I dont have a problem with it, if i dont like this kind of DRM, i should not buy this game.

Neck snapping that never gets old, assuming you have internet.

  • Summary: This game is great fun. Not quite as stealthy as the early Splinter Cell games, but massively enjoyable no matter how you decide to play it. I believe an internet connection is required for a one time activation, and Uplay is kinda hopeless. 3 years after the game came out and it's still in beta saying it's just about to be updated. Nevertheless still very worth getting.

Good Fun, bad performance for what it is.

Cliffton Thompson, Amazon
28 September 2011
  • Summary: The game is fun no doubt. Though it might not please die hard Splinter Cell fans with its blending of action/stealth genres. My main con with the game is that for as old as it is now, and knowing it uses an older Unreal Engine, it's performance leaves a lot to be desired. With Ansio and Anti-Aliasing off, as well as Ambient Occlusion it runs worse than games that look a lot better. I got better performance from Battlefield Bad Company 2 on High settings.

Great but with a problem

Brandon Banks, Amazon
29 November 2010
  • Summary: Splinter cell is a fantastic series. This game took a turn in a different direction. There is still stealth but it has been greatly reduced. To everyone who says the stealth is gone... that isn't completely true. It is still possible to get through the missions without killing anyone. The story is action packed and it is hard to stop playing. You feel much more powerful. And the gun play is leaps and bounds beyond what it was before.

Really good Splinter game

  • Conclusion: I wasn't too sure about Splinter Cell Conviction at first as I'm a big fan of the series and this one is a bit different format wise, but after playing it for an hour so I really got into it. Its told in a different way from the norm but that's definitely one thing its got going for it, also the action is really good although the stealth takes a bit of a back seat to the shoot em up stuff, but it still has some great stealthy moments.

Big departure from the previous games

Haedrian, Play.com
2 November 2010
  • Conclusion: Its a very big departure from the previous games in the series. You can (and are encouraged to) sneak around, but it's not entirely necessary anymore, and getting caught just means losing your pursuers and trying again (although you could theoretically run and gun it).
