Playing HAWX is a lot of fun really, sure it’s not a flight simulator and it’s far from any of the other games bearing Tom Clancy’s name but for what it is it’s a lot of fun, a bit short in the single player mode but fun nonetheless. If you’re looking for a flight simulator game or a dogfighting game then HAWX isn’t what you want really, at least in single player mode. Read more

    • Fun game really, Lots of planes to pick from, Assistance off mode adds enjoyment
    • Graphics are bland, Storyline is bland as well, Missions can get annoying and monotonous at times, Online play needs some work

    • Fast-paced action, exciting mission scenarios, and maps that use satellite imagery.
    • Dumb opponents, unrealistic physics, unrewarding unlock system.

Tom Clancy tends to get his name on a lot of video games these days, not bad for a novelist who's probably never even touched a 360 pad by choice. He's done everything from tactical squad warfare in Ghost Recon, stealth espionage in Splinter Cell and strategy in End War. Tom Clancy and Ubisoft have teamed up again this time to bring you arcade style flight combat H.A.W.X. (High Altitude Warfare Experimental). Read more

    • Exciting and fun game-play, Stunning environments, Lots of unique and detailed jets, Innovative ERS system, Co-op mode, Unique viewpoint options, Customisable difficulty
    • Poor team mate AI, Clichéd Story, Ground detail is poor up close, Samey plane handling

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. is a very fun game - one I would suggest to any air combat buff. However, enemy A.I. feels a little stupid even on the highest settings of difficulty, which really only limits the amount of armament your jet can carry and makes damage-taken more realistic. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. isn't the perfect jet fighter game we were hoping for, but it is a great start. Look for the H.A.W.X. Read more

Tom Clancys HAWX from Ubisofts Romania Studio puts the player in the cockpit of the latest fighter jets to create a high octane flight experience with plenty of tricks to separate it from the masses. We recently had some time to play a few of the new missions over Chicago and Washington, which proved to be a memorable experience. Read more

I bought the game because I am a hard-core Tom Clancy fan. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it features a wide variety of aircraft to "unlock" and choose from. The difficulty level is challenging at times, which I feel adds to the realism factor. Controls are a little complicated to me, but that's probably because I "fly" a lot of different simulation games (Wings over Vietnam, MS Flight Simulator X, X-plane, etc.) and sometimes don't remember which keys perform... Allot of fun to play and the CoOp feature is great - you can have a friend pop in and out at any time during a mission or a campaign and help you out, no matter where they are in their own single player campaign. You can also play at Extreme difficulty while they play at Normal or High if you choose to. Read more

    • Lots of planes to choose from and all handle differently.
    • Viewpoint in Assistance Off mode is stupid at best. It's more fun to play with Assistance on anyways so not a big enough deal to take any eggs off.

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X is Like some bizarre ritual every time something remotely to fighter jets is uttered the first thought that comes to mind is of the wild aerial manoeuvres pulled off by certain top-gun pilots on the silver screen in the early 90s. Perhaps the concept behind ubisoft’s newest venture Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X (high altitude warfare experimental squadron) was to allow the mavericks inside us to finally execute those outrageous stunts in the comfort of...
