Amazing game-Must have.
14 February 2014
Summary: This game is amazing. It comes with Island Thunder and Desert Siege. If you are a nifty little modder, there is a program in the game files called IGOR, it allows you to create maps of what ever you feel like, but as all editors, there are limitations. The story can be a little confusing and all over the place and pointless, but nevertheless, it is a very addicting game and if you love tactical shooters, you should really try it.
Summary: Great game, even though it is a bit old. I've been playing it on a Mac for 10+ years with my 62 yr old father. Just got a new laptop (PC) so I had to get the PC version. The online play is great, although the online community has shrunk quite a bit in the past few years. There is still a regular crowd of roughly 100+ online players. It is a squad-based FPS game with good weapon selection. The gaming community has created countless mods to keep the game interesting.
Summary: This is a pretty good game. I just got it and have had a lot of fun playing it. It's reasonably priced; I think there are 31 different missions with the 2 expansion packs in the Gold Edition. I'm only playing on the easiest setting right now "Recruit" and it's all right; I'm assuming that medium and hard are a fair bit more challenging. It's good value for the money and a good way to kill some time for people who like shooting games.
Summary: It's been a long time since I have played Ghost Recon, the first game, and I was excited to penetrate into these new levels--only 8 missions, about 5 new levels, I believe--but that's all you get for something intriguing. Nothing new here except for the levels. But is that a problem?? No, not at all. The levels are all situated in the day for the most part on hot desert lands with the sun beating down as always, and there is a level settled in the nighttime.
Summary: This is a good addition to a great game. The only problem I have with it is that it is too short, but it is about right for the money. Not revolutionary, but I would predict that it will quickly become almost necessary for multiplayer.
Summary: Desert Siege is the new modification for Ghost Recon. Desert Siege includes 8 new missions, several new weapons, 5 new multiplayer maps, and 2 new modes of play: Siege and Domination. While the single player missions are intense, it's the multiplayer that's really outstanding. The muliplayer maps tend to be medium to small with lots of elevation changes and intricate design (See Canyon).
Summary: Ghost Recon Gold Edition This is where the terminology "oldie goldie" can actually apply. Even up to this day the game is still very much alive. There has been two expansion packs made for this game which I would urge all and any to get. These being Desert Siege and Island Thunder and as the name somewhat states they add on island, jungle features to the game and the desert aspect not to mention new weapons and missions.
Summary: I regularly play multiplayer games with my game clan friends online. Up until recently we were all playing Battlefield 1942 and Warcraft III Frozen Throne. Then one of my friends got this Gold edition of Ghost Recon and then we all ended up getting it once we found out all the maps and weapons available in this edition. I had the original edition for some time but I hadn't played it much recently because only one other of my friends had it.
