Good fun but could be much better

Pin Head, Amazon
7 September 2004
  • Summary: As far as first person shooters go, this one is as mixed a bag as any. I will not address the numerous mods there are for this game that may fix many of the issues I take with this game. This is an out of the box and into your computer review.

Could be so much better

Anne V Thompson, Amazon
30 October 2003
  • Summary: I have to laugh at the comments made by the one person who gave the game less than four stars. I laugh becasue he is right in every way. The long range AI breaks this game where it could be made. The long range AI is very weak.

Too short.

Clorman Borno "robk2", Amazon
4 May 2002
  • Summary: Nice change of locale, but no major improvements in graphics or gameplay. Should have been offered for free as a downloadable mod from UbiSoft or Red Storm Entertainment's website. Fun missions, but too short a campaign for the price.

GHOST RECON: ADVANCED WARFIGHTER

FGT123, Ciao
20 June 2008
  • Excerpt: In my opinion this is one of the best shoot-em-ups that i have played. The storyline that you are a part of is exciting and enhances the gameplay. However, I felt that the storyline was a bit too short and that there was not enough levels. This in turn meant the game was completed within 2 weeks.
  • Pros: Realistic and exciting gameplay
  • Cons: not enough levels !

This is an enjoyable game but shouldn't be confused with Ghost Recon!

R. Mills, Amazon
14 November 2007
  • Summary: Confused? Let me explain... Ubisoft made massive error with Ghost Recon 2, transforming the tried, tested and popular stealth and strategy based format for a very arcade-like shooter patronising it's usual patrons by playing for a much larger target audience.

Good game ruined by lack of QuickSave

Pontypines, Amazon
12 November 2007
  • Summary: I loved earlier Ghost Recon games but this edition definitely comes up short. Pros:- - good graphics and sound - immersive environment - interesting new features like calling in artillery etc Cons:- - no quicksave - the major problem with this game. The game is hard - even on Normal difficulty.

Tough, Gritty, Hard

Tangerine, Amazon
18 October 2007
  • Summary: Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is a really difficult game. One shot can be enough to end your game. However, it always seems to persuade you to have 'just one more try' which is a testament to the game in itself.

Loads of Good New Stuff but a lot of Lost Good Old Stuff

Mr. I. Roberts, Amazon
19 May 2007
  • Summary: I was really looking forward to playing this game as I've completed the other Ghost Recon games and found them quite good. One thing I straight away noticed was some new functionality, including the command picklist etc, but I also noticed that I no longer could order my AI squad to be careful, to...
