Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Strategy Informer
31 May 2007
  • Conclusion: Overall Immortal Throne doesn’t include a whole lot in the way of brand-new content but still offers good value for money and is a classic example of how to produce an add-on pack to complement an already well-received game. The core gameplay of the original is untouched and the storyline enhanced by a well-crafted and unique additional chapter.

Titan Quest

Strategy Informer
31 May 2007
  • Conclusion: Basically what it boils down to for Titan Quest is that if you like a hack and slash game in the style of Diablo, then you’ll definitely enjoy Titan Quest. If, on the other hand, you’re looking for a true role-playing experience in which bashing things with a sword, spear, axe, bow, or some other weapon isn’t the only way to achieve your goal, you’re probably better off playing Oblivion or waiting for Neverwinter Nights II.

Titan Quest

3 April 2007
  • Excerpt: Hack-and-slash role-playing games (RPGs) have hit a dry spell the past couple of years as most developers seem to have jumped on the massively-multiplayer online (MMO) bandwagon, forgoing the wonder of a great single-player dragon smashing fantasty in favor of the popular vote/cash. Hence, Titan Quest stands out.

Titan Quest - Immortal Throne

Gameguru Mania
14 March 2007
  • Excerpt: When Titan Quest was released last year it proved to be one of the more enjoyable games of its type. The game is a hack-n'-slash RPG that placed you in ancient Greece, Egypt and Asia and charged you with dealing with The Titans that had escaped their eternal prison. I really liked the game and definitely found it one of the best games of its type since Diablo II.

Titan Quest

The Gamers Temple
14 March 2007
  • Excerpt: Well I’m going to try to write this review without referring to its striking resemblance to Diablo 2 or even mentioning that hallowed game in the first place. Oh, crud, I already blew it. Oh well, there you have it – Titan Quest is the Diablo 2 of Classical Greece. Now you’ve probably seen your share of Diablo 2 knock-offs but I have to warn you not to write-off the game because of that.

Titan Quest

Game Over Online
22 August 2006
  • Excerpt: Diablo 2.5. That's it. For those of you who were looking for a one-word game review there it is. You can now go back to whatever it is that you do when you're not reading game reviews, because, beyond the graphics, there is darned little to set Titan Quest apart from Diablo 2. And while I'll probably bang out a few more pages on it or I won't get paid (14 Fig Newtons and a VHS copy of Howard the Duck delivered monthly), there's going to be very little you don't already...

GamesFirst!
25 July 2006
  • Excerpt: Titan Quest is a 3rd person action RPG that brings Diablo-style gameplay to Clash of the Titans-style content. The result is a bit brainless, but oozing with cool, especially if you're a fan of Harryhausen-esque skeleton battles and Greek mythology. Titan Quest does almost nothing new, but it does all of that old stuff really well. If you're a fan of the action RPG, or Medusas, Minotaurs and guys in leather skirts, then you should at least check out George's review.
  • Pros: ups: Great graphics, smooth interface, rich ability tree
  • Cons: downs: Can't escape repetitiveness of the genre, can be taxing even on better systems
