Summary: Thomas was Alone A roller Coaster of Emotion Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle platforming game The first half of the game really tugs on your heart strings as characters are being introduced, As youre getting smacked with real life metaphors, it just punches your right in the gut, but after the initial introductions the narration and story feels stale, leaving you with only the experience Thomas was Alone A roller Coaster of Emotion Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle platforming...
Summary: Unfortunately the only thing that keeps this game from being an utter bore is the charming narrarator. You'll spend the first couple levels hurrying through feeling interested in the story but really its just a craving for entertainment. The "puzzles" (levels) can be mastered by my dog and many of them are tedious and extremely repetitive.
Summary: This is an amazing story driven platformer with well rounded (albeit 2-D) characters. If you're looking for an action packed game look elsewhere, but this game has heart. You somehow fall in love with these "characters" and when you finish you will want to play it again if only to see the characters again. If you are a fan of well done indie games with an interesting and captivating This is an amazing story driven platformer with well rounded (albeit 2-D) characters.
Summary: A rather basic and simple 2D platformer that is made enjoyable thanks to it's fantastic characters and story. The game just has a way of pulling you into it's world thanks to the excellent atmosphere, charming narration, and humorous writing. It did not take me long to find out that the game was making me care for these characters. The presentation is minimalistic to a fault.
Summary: I'm not entirely sure why Thomas Was Alone has such a low user rating. Considering it's characters are essentially geometric shapes, the 'shapes' ooze character & charm. Much like it's characters the gameplay is simple yet effective but it's the writing that really sets it apart.
Summary: This game is fantastic. The story is incredible, as are the graphics and soundtrack. It is near perfection. It works really well on the PS Vita, and I found the touch-screen controls very useful, as I often lost track of how to control each character on the PC version. I am very excited to play Mike's next games!
Summary: Its amazing how much character you could give blocks, I was absorbed in the simple puzzles combined with great narration. I recommend this to anyone bored with the norm in gaming and wants to try something truly unique.
Summary: This game tries way too hard to be this cutesy quirky minimalist thing, giving its blocks (read: spoon-fed by the pretentious British narration) forced cutesy quirky personalities while you solve really tedious block puzzles. You have to individually get ALL the blocks to their destinations, meaning you'll retread the same ground over and over.
