Summary: It's a mediocre stealth game, generic mostly scripted action coupled with a downright awful combat system should you grow tired of that repetitive creeping. There is a considerable amount of depth compared to most modern games it's not an entirely linear experience. Don't bother paying attention to the story it is more plot holes than it is lines and seems to skip ahead without explanation.
Summary: I've played earlier Thief games, my favorite being Thief Gold. This game I feel brings a nice, new wrap around story to Thief. Although the plot isn't too special the gameplay system and world are. The world does seem to be a steampunk-victorian setting like Dishonored but bringing back some Thief like maps.
Summary: Thief was one of my favorite stealth games of all time. When I bought Thief, I was expecting a great and fluid stealth experience. What I got was a game that was EXTREMELY easy, with no challenge and terrible A.I. The gameplay is boring, and the environments look gorgeous but feel recycled. I must say, Thief has officially jumped the cliff, and is possibly dead.
Summary: What appears to be a perfectly serviceable reboot of a once excellent game series is let down by occasionally horrendous game design. I can recommend Thief for the most hardcore of stealth fans, but only those who can overlook the fact that their success is usually down to bad A.I rather than player skill. If you were a fan of the original and are looking for an equally good stealth experience then, like Adam Sessler says, go play Dishonored.
Summary: I've enjoyed all of the Mortimer Beckett games. Lots of puzzles and using discovered tools to get to the ultimate solutions. The graphics are very good so that the items you're searching for look like what they're supposed to be.
Summary: Honestly I really wanted to like this, I love all stealth games and love deus ex but what you read is true, it really isnt worth buying.what youve read is true, the story is beyond bad, seriously un absorbing.garett is a monotone bore.the gameplay was a slight novelty for the first hour while a new experience, but theres literally no change the whole way through.to make matters worse, the gameplay mechanics are not consistent, to the point of being almost broken.
Summary: Unfortunately, I downloaded the game. Therefore, I cannot return it. WRETCHED audio, when there is audio. Cut scenes are completely void of audio. Characters mouths are moving, so they're obviously talking, but nothing, voices, music, nothing, can be heard throughout the cutscenes. As I'm not the first nor the second, nor third...to complain about this, it is a problem within the game. The game looks and feels much like that from the old school gen console.
