The Witcher Enhanced Edition
1 August 2012
Excerpt: Geralt of Rivia returns again... in the Witcher Enhanced Edition which addresses a few issues of the original game such as technical faults and questionable dialogue. Thanks for the game being such a hit, CDPROJEKT RED have been able to re-release the title to address the loading issues, redo some of the voice acting and dialogue plus add about 5 hours to the gameplay, thanks to two new missions.
Excerpt: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is an epic third person RPG and the sequel to the brilliant 2007 game The Witcher from the now well known Polish studio CD Projekt RED , the game its self is based on the book series The Witcher by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. This week I am reviewing the Enhanced Edition for PC, an updated version of the game that added a whopping 10GB of new content, that comes with everything from four hours of extra gameplay, over half an hour of...
Excerpt: Reviewing The Witcher Enhanced Edition is difficult, because more than any expansion pack, Game of the Year Edition or other remake, this game is The Witcher, released in 2007. This is in no way a condemnation of Enhanced Edition. It's just as fun, original, and exciting as the original. Excerpt: Without doubt, The Witcher was one of the most controversial PC titles of 2007, being well-received by players and fans, but (in the UK at least) only being lukewarmly received by most critics. CD Projekt surely has made a great title and I hope to see more titles like this from them sometime in the future as in my eyes they have taken up the torch that was dropped by Black Isle. It's titles like these that give me hope that one day PC RPG's will be restored to how they were in the golden age of the 90's.
Summary: The Witcher Enhanced Edition, CD Projekt's action/RPG, adds changes to the game's mechanics, better graphics, shorter load times, improved stability, the recently released D'jinni mod editor, two new adventures, making of DVD, two soundtracks, etc...
Excerpt: The Witcher was released originally in 2007 to generally positive reviews, but it also came with a number of major issues. Developer CD Projekt RED decided to listen to all of the problems - mainly long loading times and inventory management nightmares - and release a large upgrade a year later, along with a redone set of voice-acting and text dialogue, and bonus adventures.
