Crusader and Crusader Extreme are great, the others are garbage
12 April 2014
Summary: Loved Crusader, and love the challenge of Crusader Extreme. Easy game play, nice graphics, and sensible functionality. Stronghold and Stronghold II are garbage. The graphics are nice, I guess, but the gameplay is frustrating - really not fun. Crusader and Crusader Extreme are simple and action packed. This is just my opinion, but you can't go wrong on the price...who knows, maybe you'll like all them as much as I liked the Crusader editions.
Summary: I loved this game, lost it, and found it again on Amazon.com. Problem is.... it doesn't work with Windows XP like it says on the box. Then.... when I tried to return it, I was told I couldn't if it was opened. Then I was informed that I could return it, but when I went on the website, I was once again told I couldn't. Just goes to show how much some people care about "customer service" and "repeat" buyers? A real downer.
Summary: I ordered this because I had the original stronghold game which no longer works on my Windows 7 computer. So far they all work great. I like the strategy of this game. Reminds me a lot of Warcraft with how it's set up.
Summary: I have always played crusader before so I still believe that they are better. The new economics are cool in stronghold 2 and legends but make short and sweet games not very short. The upgrades of towers is a big plus, always found the towers in crusader too similar the perimeter and defense, the square and round. I know that they have increasing hitpoints respectively but that doesn't justify having that much extra stone.
