Great Expansion Pack

Summary: This expansion pack comes with a lot of stuff. You get 2 new traits and 1 new profession. You can also run your own resort. Set prices, hire people, expand your resort, and more. The new city to play in is okay. You really have to think about where to place your sims since it can take ages to get to one location. If you want to have a lot of kids you might have to establish your home on the main island (or at least near the main area).
Summary: My daughter is a Sims fan.I do find that there are glitches with all the EA products we have bought ( crash, freeze etc) but she does enjoy this booster pack to Sims 3.There is a help line for The Sims which she has used for this with varying results. But as for this pack, it has many fun additions to make your Sims have Island experiences! It's a great concept for the game and this is a cute expansion to it.Vacations for the Sims!Good imaginative fun.
Summary: It's fun, adds more elements to the game, but because there are so many issues with sims getting stuck all around town from poor editing on the developers behalf, the game quickly becomes glitchy with lots of lagging. I do like the added resorts and the way a sim can own them. I like my sims making money their own way rather than rabbit holes. The house boats are fun and the castle was really cool.
Summary: The game is beautiful. As someone living in a Caribbean country I thought the neighborhood looked very much like what cities in The Caribbean looked like. The features are amazing, the hair and content is amazing as well. The only problem I have with this game is that for the most part, to appreciate this expansion you're limited to the town Maxis has created for this expansion. For example, I can't use a lot of these features in Riverview as it has no beaches.
Summary: I'd like it more if my computer didn't minimize every 10 minutes with it on. "not enough memory" even though I barely use the memory on my computer. (external drives, duh). Other than that... This is a great expansion pack. From houseboats to uncharted islands to mermaids to owning a resort, this pack is neat. I am a little bummed that there isn't much in the way of clothing. Some cool swimsuits and accessories but all in all maybe 25 new CAS items.
Summary: Island Paradise is a great expansion over all, but there is one big bug in the expansion that may or may not be patched now that the Sims 4 is in the making. With the expansion, you get every thing that has to go with a tropical theme. This means you get boats, houseboats, palm trees, jet skis and so on. This is also the second to last expansion pack that was released, with Into the Future being the last expansion pack.
Summary: Pretty much the only reason why I got this one (besides the fact that I have to own every single Sims game) are for the mermaids. I love playing a mermaid. The biggest problem is that my computer (which is only a year old, mind you) has a tough time rendering the ocean waves and other ocean effects, so it has the tendency to glitch up badly. I can't even play the island world because it just gets super slow and glitchy.
