Summary: It's been a while since I played this, but I had to post a review. I'm a HUGE sims 2 fan (Sims 3, not so much). Unfortunately everything stopped working after this expansion pack. I played it twice, and the CD stopped being recognized, making it impossible to play. Heard it was because of DRM. Tried reinstalling, everything short of formatting my computer and I never got the game to work again.
Summary: Well I couldn't tell you how fun the game is, or give you my rating. When I received my package in the mail, which was a wonderful distraction from a long day at work, I was excited. Open it up: Turns out they gave me one disc of freetime intstead of apartment life. Yay. Would send it back. If I had a printer. Or a ride to get to a printer. Too late now.
Summary: My girlfriend is a huge Sims fan. She has more expansions and stuff packs than I could list. We have somehow misplaced the disk for Apartment Life and as a result she is unable to play anything Sims. I had difficulty understanding the problem so she explained it in detail: Once an expansion pack is installed to the Sims all other disks are rendered useless. In order to play you have to have the latest disk.
Summary: I did not know that I needed the regular Sims 2 to get this expansion pack. The regular Sims 2 isn't even compatiable with my Windows Program. I have Vista, the regular Sims 2 only goes up to XP.
Summary: --You can't edit existing apartments (e.g. move a bush, add a door, etc.). --It's a pain to try to create something that resembles an apartment building (and once you do, it can't be used as an apartment). --There's no way to assign a section of a building (each apartment) to particular Sims (e.g. in TSO you could assign doors, don't seem to be able to do that here).
The most problematic and unrewarding expansion pack

Summary: This game make getting your sims needs met nearly impossible. You have to reposition yourself constantly and you are sorely limited in what you can do. I would reccomend loading for the objects etc but don't play it.
Summary: Sims suck....boaring and pointless. Sims 2 also sucks, however I bought it for my fiance and she installed it. This has been the third computer she has installed it on and it just keeps screwing up her other sims 2 packs aswell as Sims 2 itself. Just a poor buggy addon to a mind numbing, worthless, no fun game. Watching grass grow is more fun that this.
My computer is dead, possibly because of this product

Summary: I installed Apartment Life and immediately began noticing problems with my Sims game. Eventually, my entire operating system crashed. I didn't connect that event to the Apartment Life installation until I installed the expansion pack a second time and watched as, again, my operating system crashed--this time irreparably.
