Summary: Very good game but with terrible DRM. It's sad since lots of people will not touch it out of principle because of it. They are missing out on an excellent strategy game. My internet connection is very stable and I got my copy on sale for peanuts so I don't really care about the DRM, I have finished...
Summary: This is an excellent, nuanced game. If you enjoy a complex strategy game that actually works, I would recommend this game. The game requires strategy in order to succeed: you must build up various supply lines of manufactured goods via conquering and collecting resources from various strategic...
Summary: I have bought this game, because I read DRM is no more. I would like to confirm it. I disabled internet, started steam offline and then U-play popped up and asked me if I wish to start off-line. I did this and I was able to load my previous game in offline mode.
Summary: My wife and I are really enjoying this well produced game. If you like city building games like Pharaoh, Caesar III, Children of the Nile, and of course all the older Settlers games (like Settlers III) you will really like this game.
Summary: The only problems with this game in in the skirmish you have to purchase most of the maps to play them and I feel the game cost enough without having to spend more. Starting the game each time and ending the game takes too much time.
Summary: It is a nice new chapter in a beloved sequel, for me starting with Settlers 2. Not a great game, but nice. Great music, good athmosphere, but gameplay and game mechanics are quite unclear. This is a sort of "trial and error" concept.
Pros: This game is actually challenging and requires good planning to win each map. I find myself planning how I am going to create my supply chains and grab victory points. Many other games I just fly by the seat of my pants and win with ease.
Cons: Combat is a bit lacking, it comes down to whoever has more troops wins. Technology can modify the outcome slightly, but overall if you have more troops and better quality troops you win.
