Typical grinding MMO, button spamming combat and content that hasn't been done before.

Summary: When I bought this game I had thought that the setting was interesting and the lore would be the greatest draw, a kind of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines MMO. I was wrong. Although the writing does a decent job of pushing you forward that actual content is ninety nine percent what you would find in other MMO's. The sad fact is the genre has been hijacked by the need for grinding in place of meaningful interaction with the game, NCP's and narrative interaction.
Summary: This game won't appeal to most players. It's very dark, it's very grindy, and it's challenging not just in the nature of the content but in the cumbersome game design and quite-frequent bugs. While the departure from the medieval fantasy-dominated MMO universe is welcome, to an extent, the game instead is a horror-filled zombie-fest, with actual zombies, which later gets into Egyptian zombies and then Transylvanian vampires, which are basically more zombies.
Summary: A high level of character customization, which I like, but the actual gameplay is still very much like every other MMO in the known universe. Unfortunately, the chat and social systems are VERY sub-par, making it a terrible chore to connect with friends, especially when you're new to the game. The UI is pretty, but not very intuitive.
Great atmosphere and setting, annoyingly complex equipment

Summary: Disclaimer: I don't enjoy MMORPGs and almost never play them. I don't like the necessity of grouping up to move through the game effectively. I've tried to leave that perspective out of this review and out of my rating. Pros: + fantastic setting, mood, themes. Tells dark stories well. + Great mission diversity with investigation missions and straightforward combat/fetching missions.
Summary: I've been waiting for a good supernatural game where the player characters hunter monsters and solve puzzles; and ladies and gents the wait is finally over (sort of). The Secret World is an MMORPG set in a mirror version of our modern world. You have zombies, werewolves, vampires, Cthulhu styled characters, and other nasties from folk lore and urban legends to discover and face while taking care of missions from your selected secret society.
Summary: It has good graphics, a fun story and is moderately complicated. But this game has some serious draw backs. The main problem is that some screens are very difficult to close. First of all the game is very inconsistent in this respect. Some screens are closed by clicking the classic X. Others can be closed by clicking the skull. But most must be closed by moving your cursor down to the bottom. Too many times nothing happened when you did this.
Summary: Pros: Unique world setting - a cross between Buffy and X-Files with a dash of Lovecraft thrown in. Single player storyline is well written if excessively cut-scened. Cons: The "end-game" is literally nothing more than the standard instance/ raid gear grind. The whole "no levels, no classes, non-linear progression" tagline is utter bs. There are levels, but they are tied to gear.
Conclusion: This is a pay monthly game, each month costs 12 pounds, with different packages offering some discounts if bought "in-bulk". Not many websites explain this, it's a really good game, just a shame you have to pay so much for it.
Summary: The Secret World hade en extremt lång "pre-launch" period där Funcom först bara gav ut väldigt små bitar av information angående spelet, inklusive "hemliga" klockor som tydligen räknade ner till ett datum.
