  • Excerpt: The Messenger is another very good looking adventure game published by DreamCatcher. You play role of Morgan Sinclair, an operative who must break into the Louvre Museum and steal the Four Keys of Satan, relics. These four keys, when joined together, cause complete global annihilation and the end of the world. You must explore the Louvre in four different time periods and return safely to present day.

  • Conclusion: I was very impressed with the vast majority of elements in this game. There were no extraordinarily difficult tasks to complete, and the game embedded clues and necessary information smoothly into the environment making it easy to access and interpret. The Messenger is not an overly long game, taking the average adventure gamer approximately 20 hours to complete, but I found them to be quality hours, full of keen explorations and interesting challenges.

  • Excerpt: You have to hand it to DreamCatcher Interactive. While most other publishers have either given up on the adventure genre altogether or have turned their sights to the dreaded action-adventure hybrid, DreamCatcher has managed to keep releasing pure adventures, and to the tune of 5-6 per year. If that's not more than every other North American publisher combined, then it's got to be pretty close.
