Summary: Excellent game in particular for new players of HO Games, clear and easy to follow I did follow the storyline on this one. Being able to scroll into the scene was another idea I liked for variety. I did only give 4/5 due to the shortness of the game.
Summary: Excellent in almost every way, even the Credits are imaginative and attractively done. I'm really tired of HOs but the neat integration here, and the innovative puzzles, and the very good progressive hints for the puzzles, and the pretty good voice acting, and the somewhat plausible story - all added up to a first class creation. I did have to take a star away because I totally hate Miranda's clothes.
Summary: You can access Cut-scenes and Credits from the main menu, although you have to unlock the cut-scenes. There are sliders for Music, Sound, Ambience and Voice Volume. There is a Windows mode, and you can toggle the Tutorial on and off from the options menu. The game itself starts with a dramatic stillness, using only voice and text, and progresses from there. All of this is skippable, but you will be missing out on a rich and immersive story if you do so.
Summary: This is a great choice for HOG enthusiasts. The visual effects are very appealing, including a simulated 3D appearance. The objects are interesting and vary across the spectrum from easy to difficult to find (thus making it a challenge but not maddening). When object names are not obvious (such as Coyote Wand), there are cheats available to narrow down the search.
Summary: Fancy smancy!! Awesome, very impressive game. This has got to be the most technologically advanced HOG adventure I've ever seen. You have an elaborate hint system - with 3 different types of hints you can use - plus your journal. You select the level of hint that you want - from tell me the answer to very vague clues that let you still figure it out. Also has a very elaborate scrolling feature in many of the scenes and zooming features (like 5 different types!).
Summary: Pros: -- beautiful, crisp graphics -- an original setting -- the storyline was coherent and held the puzzle and HOG scenes together well -- no timer or penalties for unproductive clicks during HOG scenes -- unlimited hint system that refilled in a reasonable amount of time -- the HOG scenes were junkpiles; but they were crisp and clear junkpiles, not fuzzy -- for the most part, the items in the HOG scenes seemed to belong to the time period -- the minipuzzles were worked...
Summary: This is a very imaginative, fun game. The graphics are terrific and the characters are amusing. Just learned there is a sequel in the making which is great! I love stories that are filled with light.
Summary: The game itself should have been one of the definite casual games of the year 2009. Except its unclear, quick and fully commercial ending. Total Eclipse, your team had a great opportunity to prove your casual game enthusiasm but so sad that you missed it. It’s ok, I’m waiting for your next. Keep it up!!! :) -- [PROS] Excellent product value. Many cool stuffs. Interesting story (after all). Curious. Innovative twists. - [CONS] The last part of story and its ending.
