Could be better

Rosemary M. De Oliveira, Amazon

  • Summary: Very little action and dialogue, it becomes boring, so pay attention to the dialogue, the game is infinitely stopped however the story is good, so it's worth playing.

Worth Playing but.....

Been There, Amazon
7 July 2005
  • Summary: There are flaws. I've played all 3 Black Mirror games and they all have the same flaws. #1 The games are far too linear. It's not enough to know what you need to do and how to go about it, you also need to figure out what exactly will trigger your ability to move forward. Sometimes it's something as simple as clicking on an object or place one or two more times to elicit a comment or more info. This can get very frustrating at times and makes the game seem rote.

Dunno what problems others are having.....

  • Summary: I am running XP SP2 and never had any problems. Saved first time to my PC and never once had a crash.....Odd As for the game it is visually excellent. Puzzles are pretty common sense and are not too difficult. It is a good lentgh taking several hours to work through, but the story keeps moving so i didn't get bored.

Atmospheric, mildly interesting game ruined by terrible ending

Inspector Gadget "Go Go Gadget Reviews", Amazon

  • Summary: I'm not really all that interested in adventure games for the PC, to be honest. I was really into them on the Commodore 64 back in the 80s, which is weird considering how much more visual and dynamic they are these days. The Black Mirror does have some gorgeous graphics and an impressively Gothic atmosphere, but it's ruined by perpetual slowness and many, many scenes of long, long conversations.

Too Niggly in Places for me

A Howard, Amazon
14 July 2006
  • Summary: Like a reviewer before me, I found some parts truly time wasting and the bit in the graveyard with the teeny spoons was just downright annoying! Other than that the game was very very good and a lot of fun to play. The ending is weird and as I had no sound card at the time reading the subtitles was a bit of pain! I do recommend this game if you like Broken Sword type games, overall I did enjoy it.

Not bad but depends on what you are looking for.

  • Summary: I bought this game after reading the reviews which I found quite helpful. As with any RPG game, there are puzzles/problems which is completely illogical and ridiculous but nearly all of them are completely solvable if you have the patience. The game is good in this respect. There is also an increased level of difficulty as you move on where you need to speak to specific people at certain times before you can action on an item e.g.

Gute Stimmung, nicht so gutes Gameplay

Euler, Amazon
1 January 2015

Gert Bohl, Amazon
26 May 2012
