Summary: I have Black mirror 1 and two..neither run properly! BM2 should run on WIN7 but characters are fading out like ghosts if they show at all! If you are going to sell a download, make sure they are working properly!
Summary: I recently purchased and attempted to play Black Miror 2. The gameplay was enjoyable except for a problem with FREEZING at various parts of the game. After visiting several forums it is quite apparent that MANY people have experienced the same problem. WHERE IS THE PATCH WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NEEDED? So far, a wste of money, unfortunately. BTW, this is english download version.
Summary: I've spend hundreds of dollars on Amazon's downloadable PC games over the years, and this is by far the worst game I've purchased. Every clickable item is followed by a long, descriptive speech, regardless if the item is of use or not. Even though you can double-click to shorten walking/talking sequences, there are still many times when nearly every action takes seemingly forever. There seems to be quite a bit of "busy work" with very little story development.
Summary: I was disappointed with this game. From the description, cover art, and opening cut scene, I expected some amount of horror and intrigue but instead I got tediously long dialog scenes and very little horror. Also, the game is short on puzzles which are either obvious since they are indicated by hot spots or convoluted and obscure. The authors seem more interested in writing a screen play than a video adventure game.
Summary: This game might be long, but it's because you spend over half your time sitting and listening to (or reading dialogue captions of, if you prefer) the conversations between all the characters. Since there are hints included in the conversations, you really can't skip them. The actual "puzzles" are few and far between. Some of the characters are extremely rude and use some foul language.
Summary: Purchased this game brand new in box. tried to load it on windows Vista but it would not load due to a problem with the anti-copy program on the disk. Checked on-line and found that other people had same problem. No support from Adventur Company or from the anti-copy company Starforce. On-line reccomendation was "the game is not worth the effort, just turf it". Fortunatley I have a lap-top with XP on it so I thought I would just run it on that. No such Luck!
Summary: Perhaps the most endearing and instantly notable aspect of The Black Mirror is the beautiful, stunning graphics. They truly are the sort of graphics that for me, has made gaming such a life long hobby. At first glance The Black Mirror has all the hallmarks of a classic game within this genre; the aforementioned visuals, the atmospherics, the point/click/examine cursor, a bulging inventory full of weird and wonderful items to help overcome obstacles, brain busting...
Summary: Meant to be set in 1981 but it seemed like it was stuck in time warp and one of the characters, Vick, looked like a chimney sweep from victorian times!! It was a good game and the puzzles weren't too hard or too easy. However, the characters, especially Samuel Gordon, spoke in monotone. Not many female characters - only 3 and 2 were over 60!! But you do get into the game and want to complete it but the ending is abrupt and not very good. Disappointing.
