The 39 Steps

17 May 2013
  • Excerpt: The 39 Steps is a classic tale of espionage by John Buchan, first published in 1915 with at least three film adaptations. It’s most famous for a chase scene across moors.  But how many of you have read or seen it? The 39 Steps is in the same weird place as Citizen Kane , most of Shakespeare’s works, and Seinfeld . They are all things we are aware of as part of cultural heritage, pieces from which many of our tropes are drawn from.

The 39 Steps

30 April 2013
  • Summary: Hopefully we’ll see more works of English literature done in the style of The 39 Steps.
  • Pros: Brings a classic novel to life with sound, voice acting, and well-rendered graphics.
  • Cons: Page-turning mechanics are difficult at times. Puzzles are weak.
