Summary: Obviously, the creators intended to cash in on Terminator fans. Alas, the creators obviously do not know that the whole point of Terminator movie, or games for that matter is to be able to play as Schwarzenegger. No, here you are John Connor. So... The game is a very average TPS (third person shooter) which relies on cover-style gameplay, which modern TPS games became fond of.
Summary: Beware of versions that are being sold, there was a recall on this game, I had evolved games send me 2 new discs because originals would not install. Overall ranking in my opinion would be Good. Didn't take long to beat, could of been more challenging. Could of had more control of your character... However game seemed to short for the advertising that was spent...
Summary: Don't be fooled by reviews, usually bad games turn out to be good and good games turn out to suck. This is by no means a super great game, its mediocre at best, but hey whats wrong with that. Another note with the DRM, or securom stuff is if you download it digitally from DIRECT2DRIVE, or Gamersgate, it will not install onto your computer, all you do is simply put in your security code from the site and thats it, no extra crap on your hard drive.
Conclusion: The strange thing about this one is that the developers didn't have the rights to the film. This means what we get is a game that bares no resemblance to the film of the same name. There is no likeness to any character, no Christian Bale in voice or face! The story is set before the events in the film and is completely meaningless and incidental. The developers, Grin, also made Wanted: Weapons of Fate recently.
Conclusion: After watching the movie, if you want to fight some machines, playing this game will give you plenty of that, that's for sure. The problem with launching games along with the respective movies, is the fact that the game studio doesn't has enough time to mature ideas and concepts. This problem is well patent on this title.
Conclusion: They had the basics right... good action, good setting... an excellent cover system (altho a bit buggy at times) but you cant help but feel the game was a little rushed... when i say a little, i mean a lot... they obviously wanted the game to be released before the film as the game seems to lack a lot of story and variety. Plus it is cut very short, i completed it in around 3 hours...
Conclusion: this game has lots of bad points but lets look at the good ponits first game looks good, plays like gears of war with the player , lots of difront weaponds , has terminatrs best point has the termintor music
