DISC INSTALL NO LONGER SUPPORTED
Chris Wrap, Amazon
26 January 2015
Summary: WARNING to those wanting to install this from disc - the game no longer supports the launcher that comes with this. Only digital download is supported for Tera installation. IDK if this effects any of the perks from purchasing the box set (gold, extra slots, etc), but if you are buying this to install Tera, it does not work and is no longer supported as of 1/26/2015.
Summary: this physical copy is 2 years old and will not work so pretty much worthless... you need to download the game in the website..which took me like 3 days lol. but other than that its only good if you want the founder status which gives extra character slots an awesome horse mount and other things i think 2 emeralds to sell gives 1000g each....but good delivery though :) AND Tera Rising is the best mmo game for me! you should try it out.
Summary: I gave it 3 stars as this game is now F2P and downloadable for free. When I purchased it, it would have been 4 stars. Pros: Great combat Decent Story Nice Progression Cons: Hack and Slash Grind fest Quests were lack luster and boring
Summary: Over all the game is beautiful to look at but the quest lines leave me unimpressed, if you love just grinding to max level for raiding then this is for you, you will get there fast. I'm a gamer that loves the story line, I want to be hooked and this just didn't do it for me.
Summary: Pros: The combat is absolutely fantastic, it went beyond my expectations for a MMO. The graphics were superb as well. Cons: Uninteresting story, little to keep me playing, and nothing special to work towards. Graphics and combat were the only two things that made me like the game, but without anything else, there's not really a reason to keep me playing.
Summary: It's a Korean-style MMO. Prepare to grind. More manageable if you pay for XP boosts. Combat is admittedly more fun than most MMOs, at least for a while. Plenty of options for vanity, nice detail on models. Controls and UI are pretty annoying to work with sometimes. Plenty that could be more intuitive. Minimap/map highlighting was good.
Summary: Grind, grind, grind. Thats what you have to expect, you will do the same quests over and over fighting the same(not even retextured mobs) from level 1 to 60. The combat is alright, but massive levels of grinding detract from the charm.
Summary: TERA is a Korean Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game that focuses more on playing than button clicking. Your dodges and where you attack actually matter in terms of many of the enemies. The story itself is only so-so, but if you play with friends you'll likely be too busy busting a monster to notice. Like many MMOs, TERA works best with friends. Oh, and this if you're offended by impractical outfits for the female characters, you'll really want to skip this one.
