Summary: Firstly this game uses origin. Which I would have no problem with normally, but this is the first time I've had trouble with their DRM. A lot of people including me have had issues launching the game. The problem lies within Origins DRM apparently. This was the only fix I had been able to find that had many people confirming, http://www.starbreezeforum.se/viewtopic.php?id=1280&p=3 , seems to have stopped working.
Summary: AMD quad core. 3.5 GB RAM. MSI 650Ti video. XP. AV set to gaming. BOINC on snooze.
Cons: After downloading. There's more downloading. Then there's crashing. 7 attempts to play all crashed to desktop. 3 attempts let me get out of the chair. 2 let me bust the door. 1 let me get to the gate. All 7 made me go through the 3 minute intro.
Summary: Maybe I'll download overnight when I'm not using the internet. Reminds me of dial up days when I had to download a few megabytes overnight. This is a 10GB download.
Cons: The game is on the disc but the installer won't install it. All that installs Origin. Origin then downloads the game instead of using the zipped copy on the disc. I waited days for delivery of the game and now I have to wait hours for the game to download when it's already here.
Summary: Okay, so all I ever play are campaigns. I don't do online multi-player games. The game play for Syndicate looked pretty good so I bought it. So imagine my frustration when I try to install the game but first you have to install a program called Origin, which I guess is EA's version of Steam (which I also hate). It forces you to register, set up an online account (and very irritating at that because of all the rejected ID's and passwords) before you can install the game.
Cons: Unable to play because after numerous attempts to create an account w/Origin (required) have given up. Would not recognize either of two e-mail accounts, or any password I created. EA's help is worthless. Their solution was not possible, as a link they provide is not even available. Phone tree hung up on me, on-line was absolutely no help.
Summary: After reading some of the gaming reviews, I was excited to try this. I am an avid FPS gamer, and this game is a major disappointment. The mouse settings are absolutely uncontrollable.(and I adjusted it over and over) As many times as I tried I could not keep focus on what I was shooting, so consequentally, I kept dying over and over. (not a whole lot of fun in that) The graphics are good, but the overall gameplay is just horrible.
Summary: This game is a blatant copy of deus ex, do yourself a favor and replay that game. I could almost forgive the bland gameplay and predictable plot line if not for the fact that the game is wholly broken. You get one save game file. Anything goes wrong and you're back restarting the whole campaign. In my campaign I made it to the final chapter, extremely quickly, and found myself with the "death" screen upon loading.
Summary: One of the worst games I've ever played - especially the PC version. Graphics: Many have already commented on the bloom issue already. It is pretty bad I admit (a lot like wearing glasses that need to be cleaned on a bright day). There seems to be no way to turn it off. I also want to point out that I have a modern graphics card on a PC and the graphics quality is equivalent to XBOX with everything turned up to the highest setting.
Summary: This game follows in the footsteps of soooo many others. It's like a cheaper, dumber, slower version of Deus Ex. I even used the accompanied code to get the extra material, which didn't work. It took only 1.5 days of playing to complete this game. Truly a waste of my time and money. I wouldn't suggest this game to my ex-wife's husband. It follows the same basic storyline that so many other games portray.
