PC Gamers, please research before buying

Ben Alleman, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: Firstly this game uses origin. Which I would have no problem with normally, but this is the first time I've had trouble with their DRM. A lot of people including me have had issues launching the game. The problem lies within Origins DRM apparently. This was the only fix I had been able to find that had many people confirming, http://www.starbreezeforum.se/viewtopic.php?id=1280&p=3 , seems to have stopped working.

Nice logical approach EA!

Cazador, Amazon
17 January 2013
  • Summary: Okay, so all I ever play are campaigns. I don't do online multi-player games. The game play for Syndicate looked pretty good so I bought it. So imagine my frustration when I try to install the game but first you have to install a program called Origin, which I guess is EA's version of Steam (which I also hate). It forces you to register, set up an online account (and very irritating at that because of all the rejected ID's and passwords) before you can install the game.

Waste of money, can't redeem code or install the game

PAW, Amazon
23 November 2012
  • Summary: origin sucks. I usually love Amazon but EA'S Origin is worse than games for windows live. I purchased the game and can't even install it. Useless!

Disappointment

Scott, Amazon
1 October 2012
  • Summary: After reading some of the gaming reviews, I was excited to try this. I am an avid FPS gamer, and this game is a major disappointment. The mouse settings are absolutely uncontrollable.(and I adjusted it over and over) As many times as I tried I could not keep focus on what I was shooting, so consequentally, I kept dying over and over. (not a whole lot of fun in that) The graphics are good, but the overall gameplay is just horrible.

I want my money back

C. Culpepper, Amazon
30 July 2012
  • Summary: This game is a blatant copy of deus ex, do yourself a favor and replay that game. I could almost forgive the bland gameplay and predictable plot line if not for the fact that the game is wholly broken. You get one save game file. Anything goes wrong and you're back restarting the whole campaign. In my campaign I made it to the final chapter, extremely quickly, and found myself with the "death" screen upon loading.

Why even have a single player?

Kim "kim15080", Amazon
6 March 2012
  • Summary: One of the worst games I've ever played - especially the PC version. Graphics: Many have already commented on the bloom issue already. It is pretty bad I admit (a lot like wearing glasses that need to be cleaned on a bright day). There seems to be no way to turn it off. I also want to point out that I have a modern graphics card on a PC and the graphics quality is equivalent to XBOX with everything turned up to the highest setting.

a very lame game

gunny, Amazon
6 March 2012
  • Summary: This game follows in the footsteps of soooo many others. It's like a cheaper, dumber, slower version of Deus Ex. I even used the accompanied code to get the extra material, which didn't work. It took only 1.5 days of playing to complete this game. Truly a waste of my time and money. I wouldn't suggest this game to my ex-wife's husband. It follows the same basic storyline that so many other games portray.

Kill the Bloom Already

Clutch, Amazon
29 February 2012
  • Summary: I tried this game at a friends. Not a bad FPS, but the bloom effect ruins it. Who in the development team thought this was a good idea?!! I will keep an eye out for a patch that either removes it or gives one the option of turning it off. Then I may consider buying it. Until then I prefer to remain headache free...

No Steam? No sale

Carson Smith, Amazon
22 February 2012
  • Summary: Since the PC version of this game is only being released on EA's terrible proprietary service, I won't be buying it.

They never updated the Onscreen Control Info

J. Bloodworth, Amazon
14 September 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this when it was on sale. It looked like fun. Kinda had a Deus Ex vibe going for it. After downloading and installing (had to use Origin) I noticed that all on screen prompts were using the Xbox buttons. That's cool, but I don't have a 360 controller plugged into my PC. I'm using a Mouse and Keyboard just like the majority of PC players. So, I take a look at the settings and there is no way to disable this.
