Excerpt: State of Decay is a zombie survival style game from Undead Labs, currently released for Xbox 360 and PC. The core game mechanics are very interesting, choices you make will ultimately effect you, and your group of survivors in either a good, or poor way at some point. The game takes a relatively realistic approach to survival in the sense if you or someone in your group perishes, they're gone indefinitely.
One of the funnest survival horrors I've played in ages
Ghost In The Darkness, Amazon
25 January 2015
Summary: One of the funnest survival horrors I've played in ages. A great open world concept, my only complaint was no online play or chance to continue on and with other player controlled survivors. Co-Op mode would be spectacular. Other than that, damn near perfect.
Summary: This is essentially a "tower defense" mode for SoD. Faster paced, with heavier emphasis on guns and explosives. Some slight refinement to the facility builds. Scavenging and exploring is constricted heavily by the map layout— offering little time for either, before beckoning the player back to the base for the next round of tower defense. This element offers little sense of accomplishment This is essentially a "tower defense" mode for SoD.
Awesome Characters/Storyline/Action But No Manual Save
Always Upgrading, Amazon
31 October 2014
Summary: It's an awesome game but no manual save! How frustrating! However, it's a great open world kinda (you do have time sensitive missions) game but you decide what order you do them in. Characters can die in the game based on your actions. It can be sad to level up a character to close to max stats and then they die and you switch over to a relatively unskilled character. I love upgrading your defenses but leveling up the characters isn't nearly as interesting or fun.
Summary: Addictive and the collecting of heroes is fun while fighting of the undead but they could have done way better with such potential. Even just giving us more home bases, especially since there's only two good locations. It is a good way to start a big franchise though with so many heroes in amongst the civilian survivors.
Summary: Ugly, boring and what with State of Decay's per-existing major glitch problems still there, it's boring as hell too. Very disappointed, I loved the original and Breakdown but this is just awful.
Summary: Breakdown is a DLC(downloadable content) for the game State of Decay. Content is somewhat of a misnomer. It might mean more story or background, that is: in the sense of quality content, but in the case of Breakdown that is certainly not the case. The DLC does not add any story elements. In fact it does the opposite: it strips away all the content that was already there.. What it does is Breakdown is a DLC(downloadable content) for the game State of Decay.
