Summary: This game has a good concept but listen to this.... I just bought a brand new 1ghz Pentium 3, 128Ram, the works... and it still wont work on my pc! THis game has some high requirements so if you dont own a super computer dont buy it!
Summary: I'm a grand fan of all sci-fi games, so of course when I seen starship trooper I was ecstatic! Usually, even when it says "operating system etc etc....." as usual I picked it up knowing or hoping that XP would take the game and run it. don't make the same mistake I did folks read what I got from the support at Atari inc.
Summary: Finally Received the game after delays caused by the demand for the PS2. First the game is massive between 70-400-500megs depending on the install. After I chose the typical install (400+mb) it took about 20+ minutes to finishing installing on my computer. After I awoke, I followed the click-on instructions and then rebooted my system. When I tried to play the game it would hang about 5 seconds into the intro. Then total system crash!
Summary: How can any "Customer" review the game when it hasn't even come out yet? I ordered it on August 4th (it was supposed to hit the stores on September 1st. It keeps getting set back and set back and set back and etc. When you send me the game I've waited for for so long, I'll send you an honest review. Until then I don't see how you can honestly expect an honest review. Case closed.
Summary: My son and I were really looking forward to this game being real fans of the film(s). My first problem was that I had to buy a new graphics card. Look out for this. On the back of the pack it says in VERY small writing that this game will only run with certain graphics cards. Naughty naughty. Having installed the new card I was anxious to get into the game. I have a system with a 2gig processor and 1 gig memory and according to the game it should run OK.
Summary: I like FPS and and am not a particularly demanding consumer - but this game is literally unplayable. I loaded the game and got through the training section and then at the start of the first scenario my PC (Dell XPS P4, 1gig memory 6800 video card) locks up completly and needs to be physically switched off and on. Irritatingly enough it's not at the exact same point each time but always within the same area. I downloaded the patch (100mb) and it still hangs.
Summary: Before you buy this game, be very aware of what you are going to need. My PC has coped with Half Life 2 and Doom 3, but not this. After installation I was told "your graphics card does not support pixel shaders", and I couldn't play. Online support told me I needed a new graphics card. £60 and a new card fitted later, ready to try again. This time, the screen graphics are completey "whited out".
Summary: Yet another Micropose/Hasbro unfinished, shabby product. If you have any USB peripherals don't even bother. No other software title causes me so many problems - not even IE 5.5. More bugs than Klendathu, poor graphics (even with a Geforce DDR), antiquated control system (as bad as Star Wars - Force Commander), more crahes and lock ups than Grand Prix 3 (Also Micropose) and an official patch from the official site that makes things 100% worse.
