WILL NOT SAVE!!!!!!
5 March 2013
Summary: This game is awesome. It is like Halo meeting star wars. The only problem is that the game will not save! I tried everything! I was able to return it before it was to late. I recommend the product, but be aware of this glitch!
Summary: Every first person shooter is going to be fun at some point. The same can be said for every Star Wars game. The first Star Wars FPS was DARK FORCES, a game far ahead of its time and filled with addictive fun. Following on the heels of its success was JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II, in which, Kyle Katarn, the hero of DARK FORCES, wields a lightsaber and the Force.
Summary: I got this game on the cheap after reading a lot of positive reviews. Prior to playing I had been playing another first-person shooter that I had enjoyed a great deal. I started this game, upped the resolution, and set to easy-mode expecting some Star Wars fun. This game was a let down. First, your field of vision is horrible. The main gun runs out of ammunition about once every minute; mostly because, in true Star Wars fashion, none of the bullets fly straight!
Summary: my boys are still waiting to play this game. I purchased this and also Knights of Honor, which we loaded first. Now the computer doesn't have enough space left to install the star wars game. I'm sure regular PC gamers think of this, but as a 'clueless' mom, I never gave it a thought.
Summary: Despite the fantastic graphics and my initial excitement and enjoyment when I first started playing, I soon found this game to be mostly annoying. The fact that you automatically "reload" every few seconds in a fire fight despite having 300 rounds of ammo on your gun display (and when have you ever seen anyone ever have to reload in a Star Wars movie anyway), gets tedious very quickly.
Summary: There were alot of things that gave this game it's potential: A Star Wars FPS based on a special ops unit of the Clone Army of the Old Republic during the Clone Wars, with amazing weapons, amazing environments, and much more. This was a great title to bring to PC. The trouble? The lack of controller support forces PC gamers to use a keyboard and mouse, though many (including myself) would prefer to use a gamepad.
Summary: Lucasarts why have you foresaken me?? Fans of fast past first person shooters will find a quick, if unsubstantial, fix with this title from Lucasarts, but for people who have come to rely on lucasarts as their passport into the star wars universe you may find yourself wondering what lucasarts was thinking.
BAH -- I should have just watched Star Wars 4 more times

Summary: Even though the Republic Commando's gameplay reminds me of the original "Dark Forces" -- straight up, mission-based, blow-em-up destruction -- this game can't stand on its own. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty fun for how short it was... but I want more for my hard-earned $50. For starters, dead baddies don't stick around on the floor to obstruct the path of friends and foes, but you can trip over the dead wookies and other obstacles that the game deems important enough...
