Star Wars KOTOR2 - The Light and Dark Sides
3 February 2011
Excerpt: "...say that if you like Star Wars games, or games where you can upgrade and recruit characters, like Mass Effect, then buy this. It's cheap now, because it was released in 2005, and so the value for money is better than it was, but the length of the game is disappointing. It could be prolonged by doing every single quest given to you I suppose. ==Requirements== DirectX 9.0c compatible computer. OS: Windows 98 SE, Millennium (ME), 2000, and XP. (ran ...
Pros: Character development, A number of playable characters, Different planets to go to
Cons: Short game, Lightsaber has to be acquired, Predictable storyline
Summary: It was good at first until I realised that this game had a very similair premise to the last one and that kind of ruined it for me. However what really bothered me was the character of Kreia. She was great as she had potential to be a really interesting character as a cynical Jedi was has a 'grey' perspective towards the force, not light or darkside but rather in the middle, but they completly ruined it with the twist at the end which was nowhere near as good as the...
Summary: A switch of developer has had some unforseen consequences. A lot of “Matricisms” have crept into the dialog for the sequel. There
is a vendor on the planet Onderon who does a wonderful impression of the
“tasty-wheat” guy from The Matrix and goes as far as using his “pay him no
heed” line. There is a lot of dialog in the early going on that shows clear Matrix
influences, and unfortunately that hinders the quality of the game.
Summary: This is an enormously important game, even if it's far from perfect. Like
other reviewers here I have mixed feelings, but for different reasons. The good: preserves the good things from the first game; the UI is greatly
improved. It's much more effective and exciting to train non-Jedi members of
your crew to become Jedi than it's usually given credit for.
Summary: I played this game right after playing KOTOR 1, which I loved. I was
disappointed right away. It looks more or less the same but slightly different,
yet somehow not as good. It's engine is updated I think but to me it didn't
look as good as the first. I'm picky though. It's not a bad game, I was enjoying it until near the end where it starts
to seem rushed, and that spoils it. The last part of the game is all filler,
Summary: The game is quite buggy because it was made by Obsidian instead of Bioware
like the original. Its story and conversations are also weaker then the first
but it is still a very enjoyable game and I am still playing it to
this day. It is recommended that you install the game on a older pc because it does not
like xp vista or 7.
