Empire at War, FoC

Jefferson, Amazon
30 October 2012
  • Summary: Fun and challenging with a lot of fan-inspired content from the Expanded Universe. The Rebels are over-powered with their missile tanks, but what can you do? Aside from getting AT-ATs as quickly as possible. Be sure to get the official patch from Lucasarts so it can run on newer computers! Very important!

More Like a New Game

Michael Brenyo, Amazon
30 May 2011
  • Summary: I know this markets itself as an expansion, but it's more like a new game in a lot of ways. You get a brand new faction to play with while the units for the Rebellion and Empire have been tweaked. I'll admit, the vast majority are the same, but there are some puzzling changes. For example, now you can only build the Death Star II and not the Death Star. Why not both?

A Modern Star Wars: Rebellion

Michael Brenyo, Amazon
30 May 2011
  • Summary: I'm a big fan of Star Wars and this game is one of the better ones out there. You play as either the Rebellion or the Empire, build up planets, construct ships and ground forces, and invade other planets. It sounds very simple, and it is. But, I think this works in favor of the game instead of against it. This isn't some highly complicated RTS game. All you do is build and attack. The real draw for me are the space battles.

Better than the first

Jens M. Morrison "The infinite wisdom of the ..., Amazon
5 March 2011
  • Summary: I liked this game...alot...but after awhile, it still gets boring, most games do, but occasionally you get a game like Starcraft that lasts at least 10 years... The improvements over the first were awesome. I enjoy the ability to be a third army in the galactic civil war, and all the mods for the expansion are alot better than the ones for the original (though there were a few good ones for the original, I just can't find them anymore).

Star Wars RTS Done Right

Church07, Amazon
24 November 2008
  • Summary: All I can really say is that out of numerous Star Wars games over the years, and expansions packs for any game in general, this one takes the cake. It adds some much needed balance between the Empire and the Rebellion. Not to mention the new faction coming into the middle is balanced to fit well. And it isn't just now 3 pieces of a pie. Each faction has their unique attributes still and then some.

Fun, That's all that matters

Russell Keller "Breetai", Amazon
21 September 2007
  • Summary: I had fun playing this one. Mostly for additional rebel/empire stuff. the whole piracy/corruption angle was blah for me. I didn't even bother with the single player storyline.
