Summary: I played this game after playing Battlefield 1942: The Complete Collection which comes with Battlefield: 1942 (BF1942), it's two Battlefield 1942 expansions, Battlefield 1942 Expansion: The Road to Rome and Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII Expansion Pack and Battlefield: Vietnam . If you like BF1942, you will also like this game and vice versa. However there are some differences good and bad.
On the front lines with the Galaxies Finest Figthing men, women, Clones, Wookies, and robots.

Summary: Star Wars Battlefront allows you to experience the Star Wars Universe from an entirely different perspective. You've perhaps fought as a Jedi, or a Fighter Pilot, but Battlefront takes you to the trenches of the galactic struggle of the Republic vs. the Empire or the Rebellion vs. the Empire on all sides of the conflict. In the Clone Wars, you can fight as a member of the Clone army as a foot soldier, marksman, artillery trooper or commando.
Summary: I go back and forth between Battlefront and Battlefront II because, although the controls are improved on II, there are several maps on the original that I love. So for me, this game still holds up.
Summary: This game...is in one word...Fantastic it allows you to play from the perspective of the Rebel Alliance , Galactic Empire , Separatists of Independent Planets and The Galactic Republic. As you can tell im a avid Rebel. This game not only allows you to take control of land units but also Armored and Air Units.
Summary: Star Wars Battlefront is an incredible FPS set in the Star Wars universe. You can control a character on either side of the spectrum; be a clone trooper for the republic or a super battle droid for the empire. Some of the locales are stunning, namely places such as Kashyyk (home of the Wookies), and Geonosis.
This is an extremely fun game, but bypass it for Battlefront II

Summary: If you've read the other reviews, you'll already have a firm understanding of BF's glories and weaknesses. To recap them: the graphics are stellar, the controls are well-arranged and easily learned, the AI is decent but by no means invincible, the single player mode is rather disconnected, your character and vehicular options are many, and in the end, you will surely end up complementing yourself for purchasing such an enjoyable game.
Summary: If you want a role playing game in the STAR WARS environment, this game may well be worth checking out. You get to be one of several classes of warriors playing on multiple maps spread out across the STAR WARS galaxy. Most all the familiar SW planets are represented here, including Tatooine, Hoth, Naboo, Rhen Var and others. One of the surprising things about the game is that you can even choose which side you fight on. Want to be a stormtrooper? No problem.
Summary: Star Wars Battlefront uses a two-thumb movement system - the left thumb moves your character, the right thumb changes your point of view. Players of several other games will be used to this, and for the rest it is not that hard to master. You can choose quick action, Historical Campaign or Galactic Conquest. Quick action is just what it sounds like.
Summary: Some of the recent products put out by Lucas Arts with the words 'Star Wars' in their titles have had very little to do with Star Wars (SWG, KOTOR, etc). Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed playing all of them but I just didn't feel the connection to the `Holy Trilogy' they way I had expected. Battlefront on the other hand delivers exactly what it promises. Relive key battles from the (real) Star Wars Universe in exciting `Battlefield' fashion.
